My Brainwavz M4 arrived early this week. Hopefully those who ordered early on during the $28 deal have also received theirs as well. While M4 sounds very good, I have decided to get B2 as well for more critical listening. How often can we get flagship earphones for around $100? Well, this may be the only few times; the reason it is so cheap is because this is a pre-order. mp4nation will ship the B2 to you when more stock arrives around 12 July, as they've sold out the previous batch.
B2 uses the well-known Knowles TWFK dual balanced armature drivers, which many other high-end earphones use, e.g. Audio-Technica CK10, VSonic GR01, Phiaton PS200, NOCS NS800, etc. Dual means there's a woofer and a tweeter in each earpiece. Balanced armature (BA) drivers are a different technology compared to dynamic drivers which are found in most speakers, headphones and earphones. More importantly, most high-end universal and custom/stage in-ear monitors use BA drivers.
B2 is identical to Fischer Audio DBA-02; both of which are made in the same OEM factory. Reviews suggest that B2 is neutral and analytical (aka detailed). The goal of higher-end audio products is to re-produce music or audio as close as possible to how it was originally intended to sound like. This is what some of us are after. Caveat: Don't buy this if you only care about overpowering bass or if you're too sensitive to prominent treble. And, it might not be a good idea to buy it if you're inexperienced with in-ear 'phones or IEMs (i.e. if this is your first IEM).
There are tons of positive reviews by both audiophiles and non-audiophiles alike.

ljokerl considers B2 to be as good as (if not better) IEMs such as Westone 3, Etymotic ER-4S, Shure SE535, Ortonfon e-Q7, etc. Most of which are flagships and they cost anywhere from $200 to $400 in the US. And the free FedEx shipping (1-5days) makes this deal even sweeter (normally USD $16).
I also found out recently that you can earn 100 reward points by subcribing to the mp4nation's newsletter, making this deal $2 cheaper.

How do these compare to the UE 700s?
