First of all, this deal isn't for everyone, if the idea of paying this much for measuring cups makes you balk, Anko ones from Kmart will measure just fine.

Difficult to get RRP because the 8 piece set (4 cups and 4 spoons) is only available at Amazon and the price fluctuates, most of this year it's been above $60.

According to Peters of Kensington the current price for the spoon and cup set is 48.99 and 29.99 making $78.98. Somehow their RRP is $115.9 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Either way, if you've been watching this well made set of measuring utensils that have a magnetic lock, then now is a good time to buy.

Just to let people know, these are the American ones, an Australian teaspoon is 20ml, not 15ml.

      I assume you mean tablespoon.

Note these are US cup sizes

Good idea, however a 237 mL cup is US cup measurement (instead of the Australian 250mL). Small difference but could be important when baking.

LPT: Only use recipes which list measurements in grams/mL.

      • Conversion to grams (for anything >= 1 tblsp) is the first thing I do when I try any new recipe and write it down for all future reference. Lots of advantages.

    • Real bakers use scales.

Thanks for noting these are American everyone..
Although, one wonders… Getting recipes off the internet are more likely to use US and UK sizes right?

depends on what sites you goto. Nagi from recipetineats is sydney based so I would presume she uses australian units.

      • +3

        She has some great recipes.

      • she actually uses US tools to measure too so you never know.

What are you making to measure “magnetic metal”?
