iPhone 13 Pro Max Vs 14 Pro Max

Hey Guys.

I need to buy an iPhone for Partner but am confused about whether it is worth buying iPhone 14 pro max considering the delay in delivery etc or should go with iPhone 13 pro max which is still available with so many retailers and can be purchased any time.

Though I need it phone by the end of Oct and 14 pro max has currently 6-8 weeks waiting with all the retailers. I am not sure though, 14 pro max is really worth it if that has any different features than 13 pro max. I want to ask people who currently have 13 pro max whether they think it is worth buying a newer model and if yes, why?

    Doesn't really matter what other people think something is worth. It's subjective.

    Look at the spec differences and find out from your partner if it's worth waiting or not.

    i literally walked into an apple store yesterday and picked one up, then today I walked into another apple store and picked up an apple watch ultra.

      I called Apple yesterday and they checked and informed me that there is no stock in anywhere in Australia and that I have to wait 4-6 weeks before the shipment arrived. May I know pls which Apple store you picked? I am in SA

        Some apple stores may have a small batch of stock of each model with random storage and color. If you dont mind the color, you can try your luck by walking in an apple store once it opens.

          No Point to wait that long as my purpose to buy the phone end of next month and currently they are showing as the first week of November availability

    new feature worth noting:

    brighter screen under direct sun (wife's 13 pro seems good enough to me under sun)
    always-on-display (somewhat contradict to raise to wake, only use case for me is when you have it on the table it act as a clock)
    better camera (still suffering some bug RN, but it's apple so getting a fix soon is promising)
    dynamic island (does look better than the notch, but meh….. it's still a big black hole at the middle of the screen…..)
    A16 vs A15 (I don't see A15 aging any time soon but who knows)
    battery life? (13 pro is quite decent)

    draw back worth noting:
    freaking heavy, 13 pro/max is already heavy as. 14 is over quarter a kilo.

    That dynamic island looks terrible due to it's location which is lower than the notch so you will end up with less screen real-estate in apps.
    I haven't seen a single must have feature in the 14 pro max. just get whatever's cheaper.

    Go for 14 unless you get really great price for the 13. I believe both are same price with telco so buying an older phone is just wasting money. Might as well buy 14, sell and then buy 13 and make some money off it

    Go for the 14. At least you get the best phone to date (better battery, camera etc) for a few extra hundred dollars. I have the 13 pro max and it's meh.

    Which phone are you coming from? I'm using 11pro max… and don't see a reason to get the latest at all.
    Like the other guy said.. it's all subjective.
    If you're trying to impress.. then well… you know what to do.
    If it's only for utility..i'd look more into how much storage you'd need.

    14 has crash detection. Gimmicky? Dunno. Pixel has it and reportedly has saved lives. Just be careful how you throw/drop your phone because I can see false emergency calls frustrating emergency services. Nevertheless, one thing’s for sure, other phones will now follow suit.
