Complimentary Travel Insurance if Using Flybuys Points Partly

I have a credit card with complimentary travel insurance, but this year the cost of flying is slightly above my credit limit. I think I do have enough if I were to try booking via Flybuys Travel and redeeming all my points + paying the remainder of the tickets.

Will that void the travel insurance T&Cs? I'm trying to apply for a credit increase, but that might take awhile to go through :(

    If you have the money, can you just top up your credit card's balance, so that you have sufficient available balance to pay?

    Which bank is your card with? Different banks have different requirements for how much you need to spend on the card in order to enliven the included travel insurance.
