Just what you need… "Can be mounted on a tripod for steady, hands-free viewing."

I dare you to try holding it steady enough by hand to see anything without thinking you have Parkinsons.

  • 70mm does seem huge, but in reality it is no better (well it is slightly less than) 40mm in an 8x magnification bino for light gathering. It looks an awesome deal though and should suit those with a tripod well. I tried to vote for this - it seems unresponsive :(

    • They also had some crazy deals on Dobsonians. Quality ones.

    • This will not be as good in low light as the 15x 70mm binoculars

  • Is this good for concerts? Or overkill?

This is not light gathering. For good dusk and dawn light gathering you need to divide the objective lens, 70, by the magnification, 15, and get an answer of 7 or more. In this case you don't, you get 4.66'. If you need/want light gathering I recommend 7 x 50 Pentax or Nikon.

  • Just buy a telescope and be done with it….

  • any deals on Skywatcher Adventure GTI?

  • Would I see Saturn's rings & Jupier's Galilean moons with this on a tripod?
