  Downvoting to discourage people from using their phones in such a dangerous position while driving. This is probably the worst phone holder idea next to steering wheel mounts.

  To the OP, I have a question regarding the gravity/air vent holder. The product page says it's an upgraded version. Can you tell us what exactly has been upgraded?

  I have the original version and it works well overall, however the biggest complaint I have is that it tends to rattle a lot (both with and without a phone in it). It's particularly annoying when driving over rough suburban roads.

  Does the upgraded version fix this issue?

    Nothing upgraded except scam you to buy. Phone holder on air vent is also a bad idea. It's not as stable as stick to somewhere.

      I've been using a phone holder on air vents for a number of years and have never had an issue with stability actually.

      My only issue is just the rattling that I mentioned, just from the plastic pieces within the holder.
