Join us for New Year’s Eve at our free, family-friendly event NYE on the Cahill Expressway 2022. The ballot for tickets is now open until 11.59pm on Friday 7 October 2022.
Transport for NSW is pleased to give NSW residents the opportunity to enjoy Sydney’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks from one of the best locations the city has to offer. It’ll be a night to remember, full of entertainment, tasty food and breathtaking fireworks.

Any tips - is it worth booking a bench for $92.85?
Same - came on here to ask whether they’re worth it and where they’re actually placed - they weren’t offered when I was there five years ago, but I do remember my tailbone hurting, so I might get one this time.
I ended up booking it. I’m not sure if the benches will be allocated but I figure there will be a good view from most of the freeway. Can only take chairs that are max 15cm off the ground and figured one less thing to carry along with the kids
