Oh this looks good for a Christmas gift.
Will wait until closer or beyond ATL.Are these compatible with the Kmart magnetic tiles?
Better than the Kmart times, imo, but not as good as the Magna tiles. With that said, on sale they’re almost 1/4 of the price. So totally worth it.
Edit: totally misread the question, sorry lol. Yes, they should be compatible.
Yes, they should be.
My main concern with these is the lack of rivets holding the tiles together. We have seen the tiles we have knocked down and stepped on. In a few of the reviews of this product, there are pictures of tiles coming apart and magnets being exposed. Eating two magnets can be lethal. For this reason, this would require supervision in my opinion.
I also think the extra magnet strength is worthwhile if you can stretch your budget. Brands with stronger magnets are Connetix, Magna Tiles and Playmags.
I've played with the Kmart ones and the magnets are too weak, imo. Basic creations just topple over easily. In reviews I read, this can also be a source of frustration for younger kids as they're more difficult to separate. We've never had this issue.
@Wrongguy Sounds like you've been eating too many magnets!!
Just enough to keep me protected against covid
