I have the linear and tactile g915's.

Great keyboards. This is the lowest price I've seen them for.

I use Linear for my gaming rig. Mostly play FPS shooters and RTS.

Tactile for office work. Find the tactile is quieter and better for everyday typing.

My only complaint is the keys have a tad of freeplay in them, but are secure and that the matte finish on the keys will eventually end up with a polish finish and susceptible to oil marks from your skin etc.

Do you guys know which physical shop would have these keyboards to try out? Hardly Normal ?

    • Jb used to a few months ago at least

    • JB chadstone used to have the tactile one.

Highly suggest trying them out, since I had to return the linear previously after I didn't like it

  • They have the WASD keys on display for linear, tacticle and anotherLogitec profile. I was playing with them maybe 2 weeks ago.

    • Which one did you like? Most reviewers are actually liking and recommending linear after using them for a few weeks

      • Yea I was looking at tacticle for late night gaming sessions which happen often. The linear is great actually. I just read a review further down that suggests after a few weeks of use, the keycaps lose there texture and don't feel premium. So I'm contemplating

        • I ordered Linear one 3 days ago since this deal started. I currently have a G613 and dont like the height of it. Causes wrist pain after a few mins of typing. Hopefully will like this new keyboard. I am not very picky about being able to relace keys and stuff as long as it does its job decently. I want to disable the G keys tho that are on the left as I tend to press those instead of CTRL on my 613.

          • @[Deactivated]: How long is your pinky?Lol. I have a razer BW TKL but I'm not a fan of tkls since I can't rage with a single hand and press enter with my mouse hand. I want the wireless keyboard and I never thought I'd ever go wireless but after using the G903 for a year and a bit, it's been amazing ! Plus cable management.

            • @2FLASHY: Its not about pinky being long, but your mind automatically tends to search for the corner most key to press ctrl ;) Also I dont like TKL, I ordered the full sized one.

Mouse should be definitely wireless. Ever since I got the G603 (warranty replaced once) am not turning back to wired ones. So much more convinent. Put the batteries in and forget it for 6 months straight, sweet!

  • i paid $231.57 for the white tkl earlier this year. loving the low-profile keys which, even though they're clicky, aren't as loud as traditional mechanical keys. but i hate logitech for not making the secondary characters on the number row backlit

Remember these are Logitech's own switches and caps, which are more annoying to replace if there is a failure. I won't buy a logitech mech kb again for this reason.

    • The keycaps put me off. Awful ABS plastic that felt slimy after a few weeks of use.

      • +1

As long as you wipe them down, they are alright. Keycaps can be replaced easily as there is an aftermarket demand for them now.

I wipe mine down every week or so with alcohol wipes and buff it off with a microfiber cloth.

I haven't had a keycap break or get any "looser". Only thing that has happened is as stated, the matte finish will eventually loose its finish and become sorta polished, only in the area it's constantly used.

I'd take a photo to show you but I'm away for the next 2 weeks.
This is the case for my linear keyboard as it's used for gaming.

The tactile, which is just as old 6+ months, hasn't had this issue with its matte finish.

    • But would they fail? I mean, I never had a failure even on a cheap 10$ membrane keyboards, what are the odds on this one?

      • -1

Have had problems with both my Logitech G613 and G810. Key chattering, mostly. Logitech G boards (or any other gaming boards for that matter) really aren't good value. Cheap build with scratchy switches, rattley stabilisers and a high markup that lots of people will still buy because they don't know any better.

Can easily get such a nicer board that's also hotswappable for much less than this. If someone's after a low profile design, Keychron has a number of good boards with lots of useful features.

        • What other wireless, low profile, silent, low lag gaming mechanical are there that are not TKL?

  • I bought the Linear model from this deal and have used it for the last 24 hours. So far it's amazing, super nice to type on and a lot quieter than my previous mechanical keyboard (tactile). I doubt my colleagues will be able to hear me type in Teams meetings. The G keys on the left handside have confused me a little (I keep pressing G5 instead of ctrl) but overall so far so good.
