I've three pedals from you, none of them work.

I've got a feeling it's the power supply I'm using which works with other pedals but not yours, it's ouput is the exact specification your product claims it requires.

I emailed you, you responded, then communication just stopped.

3 pedals, no workie workie, no refund, no communication, it wasn't much money so I don't care, but that's my experience with Donner Music, can't say I'd try again.

Please read previous threads and browse forums before buying. Heaps of bad feedback regarding this seller including not refunding out-of-stock items immediately, ignoring customer emails, no ABN, and charging $400 for a return to China to name a few.

      • I should have done more research :(
They seemed to get a good rap here.

      • Holy sheet that's some dodgy sales tactics. No thanks.

    • I've noticed with some guitar pedals that the barrel plug is negative/earth in the middle, and positive on the outside. All regular non-music power supplies are always positive for the middle and negative on the outside. Maybe check that, could be the reason the power supplies are'nt working for you.

      • Good idea, the ol' reverse polarity trick. I have Boss pedal made in Japan that this trick works on.

      • The most common polarity for guitar effects pedals is centre negative (meaning the positive is on the outside of the plug). I've bought a few Donner pedals - they are all centre negative. Seems a bit nonsensical to have the positive live voltage on the outside, but I think the reason is that pedals were initially battery powered and when Boss made power adapters for them, they had to use positive on the outside of the plug to disconnect the battery circuit when a power plug is inserted (to preserve the life of the battery when not in use). That became the "standard" way of making them, other manufacturers followed (notable exceptions: Ibanez (eg Tubescreamer), ProCo (Rat) - both 3.5mm plugs.

If you have a "guitar effect pedal" power supply it is most likely 9V, centre negative, which should correctly power these Donner pedals.

    • @BobSac what power supply do you have? What other pedals does it work with?
