I'm happy that it was sold and its future was secure, at least for the short term, but I don't think Woolworths Holdings were the best fit. Maybe a UK operator would be a better fit. Woolworths Holding absolutely trashed the food hall.

to same Venture Capital company (Anchorage Capital) that stripped assets from the old Dick Smith business…That led to DS gift cards being worthless months later! May not happen with DJ's.

I think it’s safe to say David Jones no longer run deals on their gift cards through third-party retailers.
David Jones stopped selling discounted gift cards through discounted gift card portals (e.g. HCF Thank You, Reward Gateway) by the end of 2020.
I also haven’t seen a deal for David Jones gift cards at Coles or Woolworths within the last 12 months.
Your only options are:
Wait for a credit card statement deal where you can earn cashback for spend at David Jones (and purchases of David Jones gift cards at David Jones instore and online should count towards them)
Wait for a prepaid gift card deal at Coles (e.g. 10% off Coles Mastercard gift cards, 10% off Vanilla Visa gift cards) and use those to purchase David Jones gift cards. The easiest method would be to purchase the David Jones gift cards at Woolworths or BIG W, as they do not require a signature for verification purposes, plus there shouldn’t be anything in the Woolworths or BIG W POS systems to stop you from using Coles Mastercard gift cards or Vanilla Visa gift cards as payment methods for David Jones gift cards.
Wait for a gift card deal at Prezzee for a Prezzee Smart eGift Card, then swap that for a David Jones gift card.
As an aside, does the Shopback Super Swap gift card feature David Jones as a retailer? I cannot check, as I don’t have a Shopback account, but I’m sure someone more enlightened than me can shed some light. My understanding is that a Shopback Super Swap gift card is similar to a Prezzee Smart eGift Card, but it is missing some gift cards, including most gift cards issued by Woolworths Group (e.g. WISH, Woolworths Supermarkets). There is a small chance David Jones is on there, but keep in mind that the Shopback Super Swap gift card only attracts 2% cashback…

hello @WookieMonster can you please let me know what is the username for the password shopper, I wanted to purchase a David jones gift card as well, but I am not able to login, it asks me to add username and password for login.
And also not able to sign-up, as it is asking for an Access Code* in the sign-up form which I don't have.
@vestigialsideband: Unfortunately, RYGC underwent a massive overhaul after I wrote that comment, so you now need to be given the access code to sign up for a RYGC account (and I don’t know what that would be).
The password I previously gave was for actually being able to access the portal, not the password for an account to log in and then make a purchase for yourself.

That was my first purchase from Redeem Your Gift Card. Received the David Jones and Coles gift cards in 2 hours 45 mins after bank transfer. Used the same NAB bank. Thanks everyone :)
I have a Coles 4 percent lead which I will release later after I have checked it out. Wonr be checking it for a few weeks as it requires a nominal membership (with other benefits)
