Refund an Apple MacBook Replacement?

Just had a full unit replacement done for a macbook, and apple wasn't able to offer a full refund because the issue i had didn't qualify as a major failure.

Is it possible to refund a replacement like with the 14 day returns policy?

    What was the issue, where did you originally buy it and how long had you have the computer?

      Oh yeah, so if the faults don't apply to internal components such as the motherboard or cpu or ram, apple just says thats a minor failure. I had an issue with the trackpad and an uneven bottom case.
