I really hated that. Didn't feel like shopping at that store having to justify their own terms to them, especially when I could go down the road and get the item cheaper.

True especially considering it's using the same chip inside. Apple hasn't updated that chip since I think the Series 5. Yeah not worth the $150 more for the Series 8.

Hold on, how does that work? Did you get the Woolies points? I thought it is 20x Woolies points, and if you were to convert all those Woolies points to Qantas points, that translates to 10x Qantas points (not 20x). You cannot count both though. With the Qantas points, you need to exchange for airline ticket(s), otherwise the conversion to goods or other gift cards is far inferior than 10%.

They wouldn't budge for me. Tried two stores via the contact us as well as live chat, all stating they don't match costco due to the membership blah blah which helps discount prices blah. Bummer because I have the $500 JB gift card that I really wanted to use.

I highly suggest going to the Apple refurbished store. There are several series 7 cellular models for AU$ 589 for the 41mm and AU$ 639 for the 45mm.

I purchased Apple Watch 7 45mm (GPS) Blue at $529 from JB Hifi. Their official price is $583. But, Big W sells at $579. I requested the price match and JB accepted the price match. Then I purchased $500 (after 10% OFF, $450) TCN Gift card from Coles. Finally I got it from JB Hifi at $529.
They didn't budge for me. Might try again then.

I don't have Costco membership. But, I purchased it at $529 from JB Hifi. For Costco member, only $1 benefit for this deal.
In SA, there is only one Costco store. It's too far from my place. So, there is no merit for only $1.

Managed to price match officeworks as well (Chadstone store, VIC), Most of the colours were OOS. The staff were able to price match for me but did asked if I was a costco member, so I said yes, even showed them my card. Got the price down to $501.59. So really depends on the person, good luck!

A better deal is by going to the Apple refurbished store. The have a 45mm series 7 (but only in starlight) for AU$ 499. However, there were load of them with different colours at that price immediately after the series 8 announcement.
Imo brand new watch is definitely worth more than $28 compared to refurbished ones
