I have seen many reviews of the new Zenfone 9, almost everyone has said it is a great phone in a compact form factor and it still has the headphone jack in 2022, but searching online I can only find this phone on websites like ebay and amazon. If you go to the Asus website and switch your location to Aus, the zenfone 8 shows up but not the zenfone 9. Does anyone know if Asus has plans to release this phone in Australia or would I need to buy it from ebay/Amazon.

i have zenfone 8. The pocket mode sucks
only 4300mAh (type battery. that..is so bad why would you spend over 900 for this?

What 6’’ or less phone has bigger battery than 4300mah, 120Hz, flagship soc and lasts all day battery? I will have a genuine look and buy it.
Getting buyers remorse with the iPhone 14 Pro, bit expensive and I didn’t know the pro motion makes animations feel more like 90Hz than 120Hz like Android phones do.

I also only just released that they aren't selling any 16GB RAM variants either (they only mention how much RAM under "Details" which is 8GB)…
The global version 16GB/256GB can be bought on eBay for around the same price as the JB 8GB/256GB.

My phone broke at the end of September, two weeks before the Zenphone 9
got the Pixel 6 Pro at the time (not going to get a Chinese phone nor the Samsung for personal/political reasons, but Sony and other Korean brands had crap all).
Initially was going to get it when/If I go to Taiwan next year (where the price is more competitive and you get more freebies)…
Is the Taiwan variant good for Australia antenna/networks?
I bought almost all my previous mobile phones from Taiwan. No issues.
Just have to change language from traditional Chinese to English if you cant read traditional Chinese.

@DaDiesel: There's a 2022 version going around on OzB, it's in one of the recent JB Hifi black Friday deal posts.
But I went into the JB store today and asked for Black Friday catalogues and they didn't even have any in store yet. I did see it said 25% off Asus phones (and this is in line with last years Black Friday), I'm hoping they actually discount it at the same % as I've already got some gift cards to purchase it!
