Never too cold for hiking in Victoria. But can easily be too hot for hiking in summer.
Never too cold for hiking

That was in Taiwan and I don't normally hike in a bikini.
That's actually quite sad she seemed like an actual seasoned hiker if she was doing a 25 day solo hike.

The Forclaz 900 is pretty heavy at 2.7kg. For comparison the Osprey Exos 58L is 1.3kg for $350 retail. https://www.osprey.com/au/en/product/exos-58-EXOS58S22_418.h…
Your pack is a good opportunity to save a lot of weight with only a little sacrifice. If you're hiking, the Gossamer Gear Mariposa 60L is 845g. Cons: USD$285, 60L vs 70L, less pockets and ease of access. https://www.gossamergear.com/products/mariposa-60-lightweigh… - though if you're backpacking and throwing it in a lot of busses while backpacking, the thinner fabric might wear faster.
58L is quite a bit smaller than the Forclaz 900 though. Probably a different use case? The Forclaz is 80L and has a separate day pack which is useful for day trips when doing multiple day hikes.
I’m sure it’s a fairly good product. The Decathlon reviews have a odd tone about them (fake?)… not sure if they help or hinder decision making lol
Perhaps the reviews are from other countries, Decathlon has the same products and way more presence in Europe.
Too cold for hiking in VIC…
