I know this generation is unique with ongoing shortages but a price increase still stings

they also revamped the console internals so likely it's actually cheaper for them to manufacture so yeah, they're not getting my money anytime soon.

No changes in the size & weight of the console, except using a smaller I.C. chip which is more easily available; but the console performance and graphic is the same as per review.

I was never too eager for the ps5. I wanted one but always thought "I'll just wait a couple of years, hopefully a bit of a price drop and no issues with stock levels"

Plus the bundle of an overpriced game i don't particularly want, and if i did i would want it on disc since i would be buying a disc console.
In effect, Sony are charging $95 for the digital version of a 7 month old game that now costs $50 for a physical copy, on top of the $50 console price increase. Nice.
This bundle should have been excluded from the price increase.

Well I got mine in early December 2020 and I didnt even try that hard. Just had to look at whirlpool forums a couple times to know which store had pre-orders open.
I bought mine on release but actually feel bad for people genuinely wanting one. Either scalpers stopped them from buying at a decent price or now sony has affected their purchase with a price increase.
Kinda sucks to be in that situation.

These "bundle deals" are a massive blow to the consumer. To make it worse, the included game is only a digital download code (not even the disc version). Sony are really trying to milk every last $ out of their desperate fans.

Did you guys know you can basically pay a subscription to play every console and game from the convenience of your tablet? It even gives you the save game feature.

Performance isn’t the same even if you have great internet connection. Latency and input lag can kill the experience, depends on the game
Yeah cloud gaming. I watched a video recently of a new centre with all the latest tech. They were saying latency should not be a problem if you have fast internet.
To be honest I haven't used it myself but that's what I would do if I planned to binge play games.
