Can someone please list the boozebid single malt 22% off bargains?

  • I'm currently tossing up between this Blue Label, or the Lark Distillery Single Malt Classic or something from Starward.

    Any recommendations for me???

I'd highly recommend Overeem Port Cask over any of the above. Lark's 500ml bottling wank, JW Blue is overhyped crap. Starward have some ok releases, but not in the same price bracket as the others.

Overeem Port or sherry cask strength if you can find it. Boozebud used to sell them.

If you're going to get a core Lark get the Classic cask strength.

      Blue label is overrated hype.

      • Any expert advice on port vs sherry? Or standard vs cask strength?

        • Depends what you like. Sherry cask will carry more dried fruits and raisins profile. Port cask more plums and treacle. But it depends on the cask used, age, conditions, mix etc.

I usually go for cask strength. It will have more flavour and you can water it down to your taste/tolerance. Buying at 40 - 46% you are limited to a ceiling maximum for taste (which might still be fine). You can't undo if it's too watery.

Just get green label. Best one IMO

I found I enjoyed Gold Label the most when I grabbed the xmas sampler pack last year.

          • @anzacpaul: you need 18yrs Gold Label not those Reserve Gold Label.

          • @anzacpaul: I found I enjoyed the red label the most when I had a cold and needed something rough to sterilise my throat because I couldn't taste anything anyway.

        • ^ Green label

        • If cost wasn't a factor.
Blue all the way without a doubt.

        • Yeah Green label is value for money compare to Blue.

Picked up Chivas Royal Salute 21 for $163 which is a decent price. $230+ and sold out at DM.
