Was looking for a cheap TV and came across this, I didn’t expect much of it but was. I was surprised when I found it runs LG webOS, it literally uses the LG app and their content store too.

It is also HDR, it’s not in the specifications but definitely works! My Apple TV detected it as HDR and the TV itself also states the input is in HDR.

Cracker deal, couldn’t find anything else this cheap.

The speakers are ok, they’re better than other cheap TV’s I’ve owned. They lack bass but otherwise they’re fine.

IMO this is a better TV than my previous Hisense which cost like $500 extra.

      I want a Symbian TV.

Pretty sure I've seen that video 😄

        • It was a moving experience

    • Apparently that is its origin. I had no idea they were linked.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebOS

webOS, also known as LG webOS and previously known as Open webOS, HP webOS and Palm webOS,[2] is a Linux kernel-based multitasking operating system for smart devices such as smart TVs that has also been used as a mobile operating system. Initially developed by Palm, Inc. (which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard), HP made the platform open source, at which point it became Open webOS.

      • I miss my webOS HP Touchpad from a million years ago. Wireless charging for a tablet!

  • It looks like the one Aldi was selling late last year with the magic remote.

    • It essentially is a re-brand of the Aldi Bauhn TV which.

      • +1

They are probably both a rebrand of some other Chinese OEM really. (most tvs these days are)

  • Bought a Linsar branded 60” TV with WebOS a month ago, I already had a Google TV with Chromecast ready to go as I didn’t expect the smart TV platform of such a cheap TV to be any good, but I was pleasantly surprised as well. I now use the built in one instead of the Chromecast because of the LG clone remote and the snappy interface.

The Linsar and this looks identical in appearance, if I had to guess I’d say they are both the exact same TV manufactured in the same factory just sold under different names.

  • By any chance would this TV on display at BigW? or can anyone vouch for the viewing quality/experience?

    • The Linsar 65" is on display at some Good Guys stores, I'm pretty sure its the same TV.

  • I have 75 Hyundai, I believe these come from the same factory. It's not bad, does the job with no compalints besides.light bleed when room is dark.

  • Would this be too laggy (input latency) for PS5 / Xbox I wonder?

  • Thanks for the review op, is it wall mountable?

    • Yes it is wall mountable.

  • No delivery options. Needs a ute or a small truck.

  • Finally decided to buy this and find out it's $679
    Damn procrastination!
