    Who are they matching? 🤔

    • +4

      Catch

I hate price matchers, prefer going to the one who originally lowered price. This is kind of the Flight Centre model of trying to undercut your competition. Over time, people just go with you, the competitors fall and you have less competitors to price match against.

Yep. Buy from the others and not Amazon. Don't support bezos who will just use your money to go to the moon

Xenoblade games tend not to go on sale

    I beg to differ:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/xenoblade%20type%3A…

I scored for the game for $27 on Switch.

I've seen a tonne of copies at Big W so I dare say it will drop a bit more later on.

    • Well, I stand corrected

  • +4

Damn.. I misread this as Date A Live and got excited

    • +3

      I'll go the Origami route

  • Live a live demo sucked so hard. A friendly warning to try before you buy.

    • It's a fun game but quite short.

      • Glad you enjoyed it. I found the three stories in the demo to be very grating and the combat doesn't do it for me either

    • +3

I enjoyed the game, easily one of the better JRPGs I've played in recent years.

    • +3

On the contrary, I enjoyed it so much that it compelled me to pre-order the full release to carry on my save, and to date it might be my favourite 2022 RPG

To each their own, but yeah good rule of thumb in any case to always check out a demo when it is offered.

        favourite 2022 RPG

how do you have time for multiple RPGs??

        • +6

just like how i have time on ozb, i play during work!

          • @slowmo: Me too. Good job son 👍

  • Was below $60 not long ago when The Gamesmen had 20% off their eBay store

    • Damn, all the comments were about price jacking so I didn't really take much notice

      • It was $59.96 after the discount iirc
I did leave a comment in there about it haha

Whoa, I got a rare doodah right here!

I'm the GAL with the GALL

    • You hear that Noah? Lanz wants something a bit meatier!

  • Other seller CDART selling The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Edition - Nintendo Switch for A$ 56.75.

    • This isn't a historically great price is it? One of the games next on my list of things to play.

    LIVE A LIE? 😅

  • Waiting for XC1 and 2 to go on sale again..

    • +1

2 will be a while - if ever.

    • Better chance getting it at a good price on the used market place.

Those two will most likely stay above RRP now as they are discontinued.

    • +1

I just picked up Xeno2 from GD games cheaper than I could get a used copy. Check them out.

Live A Live should be around $39ish.

  • i have one of the nintendo voucher, should i get this XC3 digitally or via this deal?

    • Completely up to you if you prefer physical or digital. Do you care about resale value or do you think your friends might give it a go if you lend it to them?

      • neither of those, i rarely resell or lend games as my friends aren't the gaming types, my kids might lend to their friends.

only difference for me most of the time is that digital is more convenient because i don't have to keep changing carts…

is there a game worth redeeming instead of the XC3 tho?

i was saving that voucher for XC3 , but this deal made it a bit more attractive than the voucher (i get physical media plus the gold coins)

        • +1

one other thing to consider if your hdd/sd card size is limited so if you have a bit of a library then that will become a factor too.

a mix of physical and digital was my approach because of that.

          • @coldazure: good point, i should have a look. i think i have 256gb on the sd card, its been a while since i've touched the switch (last was XC2)… it's largely being used by the kids at the moment.

        • +1

Keep in mind that vouchers expire after 12 months, if you know not long is left it might be worth just using now.

On the other hand there is meant to be another direct rumoured sometime this month.. could be some surprise announcements/release within a few months like Nintendo are known to do.

          • @Stoibs: good point, i think the voucher would last till next year apr as i got it recently for that kirby game.

not too sure what's on the horizon.

        • +1

Yeh. Like what the others have said. Storage space, games that you might be interested in to use the voucher.

Some big titles coming to switch in October being nier automata (physical is $49 on amazon), Persona 5 royal (no listing yet), bayonetta 3 just in October alone.

          • @azngamer: yeah, i tend to go for exclusive (or just launched) titles for the consoles… because games like nier (i have on pc when launched) and persona are kind of better to play with on the ps5 imo.

looks like the price went up for xc3, the plot thickens lol

            • @slowmo: Note that persona 5 royal or persona 5 from ps4 cannot be played on the ps5. There is no free upgrade, bit of controversy with Atlus

              • @azngamer: i can't remember which version i had, but i can play the persona 5 on my ps5… not that i care much about it at this stage because i rage quit when royal came out with the QoL fixes that p5 supposed to have.

  • Xeno is showing as $69 for me.
