iPhone 14 Pro Max - Preorder Stock

Hi gang! I'm wanting to pre-order the iPhone 14 Pro Max from Officeworks to take advantage of the 5x Flybuys points deal they've got running. The only issue is that the size + colour that I'm currently hoping for says 'Preorder unavailable' (other models are available for preorder).

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether this means their preorder stock has run out and won't be getting any more allocations until release day, or if Apple might give them more preorder allocation over the coming days? Just considering whether I should wait for OW or just preorder with JB / Harvey Norman / direct from Apple etc.

I've reached out to the company but the person on the phone said to send in an email because they weren't sure (which I've done but haven't received a response yet).

Any insight would be much appreciated, cheers guys!!

      Can’t camp out anymore. Has been the case for years.
      You need an appointment. They don’t sell to walk ins anymore.

    None of us have a crystal ball to answer this, particularly if Officeworks staff don't know themselves. Just wait for stock to appear, it will eventually.

    I'm getting a 14 Pro Max too but might wait for the rumoured Apple hardware subscription later this year.

      All good thank you!! I was hoping there might be a rogue OW employee lurking around that could give me some insider goss but it seems like the only real option at this stage is to make a sacrificial turtleneck offering to Steve and hope he blesses us with a miracle before release day!!

      Ooooo that hardware subscription is gonna be a game changer…wonder how they'll price it and if you'll be able to bundle it up with your monthly phone service provider payments too

        Perhaps an Officeowks Employee can clarify, if they receive stock from their Head Office Distribution Warehouse, Apple Direct, or a Distributor like Ingram Micro, Synnex, Dicker Data etc?

        IF it does say Pre-order, maybe there is no early stock coming in the short term, that they are aware of?

          Hey, Officeworks employee here!

          I know for a fact we don't get our stock from Ingram or Synnex. I believe it's head office distribution and apple direct.

          Apple is the one brand that we dread when new products come out because they barely give us any stock to sell (for example, the store I work at and other stores in my state only got 2 iPhones 14 to sell on release day). I'd say it'll be a while before we get stock in for any Apple device. Stock for iPad 9th gen were horrific for nearly a year and only recently started to get more in stock.

          Generally with pre-orders, if it says unavailable it's means it's all sold out.

      Even if it does launch, it will likely only be in the US for some time before slowly rolling out across other territories. I think you'll be waiting a while.

        I've seen a small amount of stock allocated already for the Plus and Pro MAx, though seems to be quite a few of the base model.

      I do. I have one. I can see it now, many many people are walking into Officeworks in the future and getting the staff to beat another store's price on the iPhone 14.
      Some are unsuccessful. lol.

    That's exactly what it means. Preorders started on 9 September.

    just to piggyback on this thread, if it says preorder on the officeworks website, does that mean it will definitely be available on the 16th?

    Is there anywhere you can buy from at the moment that can guarantee 16th or 17th iphone pro 256gb

    Using this thread to ask about Officeworks preorder: I pre ordered the 14 Pro on the 10th. When buying it said the delivery date was Sept 16, and even asked me to select the 16th when placing the order. But now ive just tracked my order and it says the estimated delivery is the 30th. Why is this the case? was I not fast enough even on the 10th? if i wasnt, why did it say the estimated date was the 16th?

      I'm in the same boat here, but ordered at 10:20pm on the 9th. Chat support are useless and have no info, and Email support has gone unanswered. Looks like we have been baited here and they never had stock of some Sku's coming.

        I've had the same experience but with JBHIFI. Just received an email today notifying that the my order has been delayed even though I placed my order on the 9th.

          :( Must be low stock allocation for some models I think 256Gb Pro Max had low stock for JB, others on whirlpool also got delayed. Officeworks probs just has no stock

              @MasterMirage: Just FYI, mine is Suddenly back to arriving on the 16th and has moved from confirmed to preparing. No idea how they plan to pull that off at this late hour, unless it’s same day courier from a local store…

                @richo123: Did you get yours? Its now 6pm and the officeworks tracking still says expected between 8-5 on the 16th lmao. the MyToll tracking says the shipment was only created at midday today, so I dont know when its going to be here

                    @richo123: Lucky, mines still not here yet! The officeworks page still says 8-5 on the 16th, and the Toll tracking says "shipment created" at 7:07pm on the 16th lol. I literally have no clue where it is, and when to expect it

          I also had this experience with JB HiFi, they said they don't know when it'll come in and they weren't very helpful. Quite annoyed that it said it was going to be here today but isn't
