Trying to Find The Cheapest Data Sim for Overseas Roaming

I have started a job which I'll be overseas for a few days every few weeks. I'll be in various countries in Asia and North America. I'd love to have a sim or esim with purely data for when I'm out and about and use the hotels wifi for more data intensive things. I know that vodafone offers $5 a day packs but I live in regional NSW rendering it useless when I'm at home. Telstra will be my main provider in Oz (when I port back) does anyone have any suggestions?

    Depends which countries you'll be in. I personally still have my Starhub travel sim since it supports roaming in quite a few countries, reasonable speeds, etc… but you need to be travelling via Singapore (Changi airport) to get the tourist sim pack: https://www.starhub.com/personal/mobile/mobile-phones-plans/…

    If you can survive on tiny data allowance (50MB) and only 50 mins of calls per month, this might be worth considering
