I just a bought the LG 38WN95C - 38 inch Ultrawide Curved Monitor for $1167 on Amazon Warehouse with saying "Condition: Used - Acceptable - Large cosmetic imperfection(s) on bottom or back of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged".
Anyone want to speculate what the damage could be?
If there was anything wrong with the screen it would say it but what kind of large cosmetic imperfections could there be on a monitor?
Often it's just the packaging that's stuffed.
I did get a durable ipad stand (https://www.amazon.com.au/Durable-Rotation-Anti-Theft-Charco…) that had a similar description to you, it had a bit of wear on the foam feet and had some sand on it so I think it had purposely been used and returned, but it was so much cheaper than new I was happy to accept the condition and will just replace the foam feet with some from Bunnings.
I've bought another ~20 items with "damage to the product" but it has always been the box/packaging that was damaged :)
Just return if you're not happy with the condition.
