your home is not tax deductible.
if all you have is shares, you can do it yourself.
the only deductibles will be you costs for trading.what about capital losses made by the possible ETFs he/she holds as part of their yearly business of buying and selling shares
what about their capital gains and losses on their shares they have bought and sold
what about their dividend income
your home certainly is tax deductable if is is rented out
You do not rent out you home. You rent out an investment property like your Mar-a-Loo resort.

Thanks jv. I didn't record my capital gains and losses on shares I have bought and sold. And there is one dividend where the US withheld 30% of which I want to reclaim.
