People need to be careful switching now that we have a sanction on Russia and causing high prices on energy. If you're on an old plan that hasn't been updated to current prices, it's better to stay where you are. Switching this year could cause your bill to rocket.

    • Only if you're in a rate lock, our old plan was updated to a new plan so we moved

I do not consider this a deal

    • low-hanging fruit. So low you have to bend to pick it.

Never ceases to amaze me how Energy companies hide their Electricity rates and request your contact information to call you to discuss… the only exception is iselect and comparethemarket where you can put in dummy information and it lets you proceed to the next step, HOOD doesn't…Sorry I'm not interested in getting hounded with telemarketer calls and obligation quotes, especially when I'm able to review competitors quotes and make an informed decision without having my number spammed with calls and number potentially released to undefined third-parties

As per their privacy policy - Very non-specific; doesn't say that 'Those who do' aren't allowed to spam me with calls either and there is no specifics of how many of 'Those who do' - 10, 100, 1000+ ? + 'Those who do are bound by contracts' which basically means they likely can't release that information to their own third parties (So on and so forth)

We limit who has access to your information and ensure that those who do are bound by contracts to keep your information availability restricted and safe.

This is all HOOD offer on their website as far as kw/h quotes

According to a survey HOOD ran in 2020, customers in NSW could spend between 19.3 and 33.4 cents per Kwh, Victorians between 19.3 and 30.7 cents per Kwh, South Australians between 26.2 and 40.4 cents per Kwh and Queenslanders between 15.5 and 27.4 cents per Kwh.

Yeah, that information is a little outdated by today's standards

    HOOD, do better

100%, why people don't use Energy Made Easy instead of falling for the reverse cold call scams like these is beyond me.
