    Considering Sword and Shield dropped to this price point earlier this year (which was about 2.5 years after release), it may take a while for Scarlet/Violet to drop too.

        Pre-ordering them from JB or EB will also give you exclusive steelbooks - you could always sell them after launch to get some money back :)

        For some reference, I previously sold my Legends Arceus steelbook for $40.
