  • This is NOT cordless and it has steam function?

    • Adjusted now. The variants from Godfreys, Mydeal and eBay are the Pro version. This is the non-pro and is called the Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 Steam.

      • The one from godfreys/Mydeal /eBay are not the same, shouldn't it be removed to avoid confusion? In a Facebook post yesterday someone said "the s5 is on sale on Amazon for $524" and people were buying it until I told them that it wasnt the s5 they were thinking of, but it was too late for some to cancel.

        • sure.

        • yeah, crazy price for a S5 then i found out that its actually the corded version…

        • -1

Godfreys version is a wet mop/vacuum. This is the steam mop version. Completely different. You really cant get a decent cordless steam mop/vacuum yet

          • @Sammyboy: I know… Op posted up with links to the other s5 pro as comparison.

  • Why even design a corded version?

    • +1

for the steam function? otherwise, it may only last for 1 minute

      • exactly

  • I remember seeing this go for $479 during Prime Day. Was tosing up if is a suitable replacement for my HiZero.

    • $489, i posted it here but it got removed as there was only like 1 in stock lol. Ive seen a loooooot of reviews in the mums who clean fb page and by far Tineco s3/s5 is more favoured over HiZero. I think Hizero you have to go over an area back and forth to clean and mop? Whereas the tineco is more like a cordless vacuum style mop

      • Any reviews on this corded steam version? Wondering how well it would work in cleaning up greasy kitchen floors..

        • This is the only written review, but the comments are also positive. I guess it really depends whether you cbb plugging it in all the time

"After umming and ahhhing about buying the Tineco Floor One S5 Steam, I can honestly say if you are contemplating buying one, just do it. It's better than our previous steam mop & cleans like a dream. We have white gloss tiles and it doesnt leave streaks. It is corded but thats fine. Vacuums and steam mops at the same time. Winning!! Bought from Amazon Australia for $699 "

        • the steam version is amazing. I use it on tiles and even my floating floor. No issues so far. Cleans so well. Worth the price and dealing with the cord! Good thing about the steam version too is you don't have to use any cleaning agent, which you will have to with the other wet mop models

    • Why you want to replace the HiZero? I thought it was more superior than Tineco? I have the Brissell Crosswave Cordless, it does the job ok, but was considering getting the HiZero as heard it dries up better unlike the Brissell which sometimes leave marks and dirty water marks so have to run over it few times.

      • Trying to avoid using the hizero solution and wondering if steam might work better. Want to buy my HiZero? I got it replaced under warranty, so got a brand new one. Also added extra 2yrs warranty.

        • Which state/suburb you located, and how much you looking for it?
I thought you could just use water or generic solution, no need for the branded one?

  • Is Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 Hard Floor Cleaner for $539 worth to buy?

    • Yes, that's a good price and a great mop. Just did a clean earlier 😂

      • Is it an upgrade from Brissell Crosswave Cordless ? Does it leave marking or takes many passes to dry out and clean?

        • Almost every post I've seen, everyone has rated tineco way higher than bissell. Apparently bissell is a PITA in terms of maintenance. Tineco is really easy to clean, just dump, rinse and dry.

Don't notice any markings on my tile and wood floor. It picks up loose things on the first go but if somethings really stuck on it'll take a few passes or you'll just have to manually scrape it. Floor dries in a few minutes (under 5), my house is cold though haha.

          • @MeesusEff: I'm torn between the 2!

            What i know so far:

Tineco - self propelled, got lots of smart features, lighter, higher ground clearance (picks up debris better), drier finish
Bissell - head can swivel, larger tank, more battery and can also wash your rugs, cheaper

Many reviews seem to declare the Tineco S3 to be better than the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max in cleaning mopping (drier finish) and less streaks than the Bissell but the with Bissell the rugs washing feature is nice…

Has anyone tried the Bissell and can comment on its rugs washing feature?

Tineco S3 cordless is $539 and Bissel Crosswave Cordless Max is $456.72

            • @meong: I have run my tineco across my small carpet and rugs and it does surface clean quite well, just leave it to dry before putting something on top of it. Doesn't take too long to dry (I don't think minutes but within half day?)

            • +1

@meong: I have the Bissell Crosswave Max and use it for rug cleaning may be once a week so dirt do not accumulate. It is not bad feature. When I clean rugs, waste water still comes dirty every time, so that means it is doing what it meant to do. Also the advantage over Tineco is you can control water spray on/off where as Tineco water spray is always on. I found if I don't clean my white tiles every few days, then machine will leave dirty water streaks and have to pass few times to clean / dry. The Tineco seems to have smart features, but I reckon it is rather annoying when it keeps talking to you.

Here I've uploaded a video of how it cleaned up my sons breakfast

          https://youtu.be/4HKuMZsP_ms

          • @MeesusEff: Which model do you use in the video? S3? S5?

            • +1

@xphonerz: S3. Got it for $599, and I asked someone who worked at Godfrey's if the difference is worth $400 and she said no. I think the only diff is edge cleaning and slightly bigger water tanks. But edge cleaning is only on one side and I have stuff in the way so s5 wouldn't have been worth it for me

  • I've been wanting to buy another upright/stick vacuum because the battery on my bosch athlet is total trash, can only vacuum for maybe 3 minutes before it dies.

Wish there were before reviews on this before i jump on it

    • this is not great as a dry vacuum… better as a mop/steam mop with suction capability…
