This is very good price.
probably the lowest i've seen. Can recommend, got one of these for around $120 mark and it's been awesome for camping or just in the backyard.

am curious, does it come in a electric version? does it change the 'flavour'?
In my experience, if it heat food through heat plate, the flavour don't change much from different heat source.
But many electric heat plates just not as powerful as their gas counterparts, so the flavour will be different.
this makes sense, thanks for that!
Thanks OP
Been looking for one of these for a reasonable price.
Friend has one and its awesome as he lives in a studio and surprisingly minimal spoke.
Now I can have at home Korean BBQ 24/7 baby !
Your friend must be a quiet person then?
he barely spoke the unspeakable thingy
Well played sir. +1 vote for you
how spoke is it
This is a really good price, never seen it under $100 before.
Ever since we bought this, we have Korean BBQ at home rather than at the restaurant now.
Maybe a week ago? it was on sale for $70. Some reason Camel isn't showing it.
Anyhow, can you share your exp. is it really smokeless? big reduction?
Reviews videos I've seen (terrible ones) still show there's still too much smoke for indoors.
It's not completely smokeless, adding water to the drip tray does reduce the smoke a fair bit compared to no water in the drip tray.
We don't fill the pan full of meat or else it won't sear up as nice, only a few pieces at a time.
I think they are scammer… it was flooded at Amazon last couple of weeks for a couple of popular items.
dont think ive seen it for $70 and ive been eyeing it for a while
And it's gone…
+1 for every South Park reference
Is there much difference to this and using a pan on the stove? Is it the convenience of having it on the table or is there something else?
Last time I had bbq at home, we used one of those non stick electric pans. Surprisingly it was ok for a fairly cheap appliance. There was a lot of smoke though.
So with this from what I understand the oil drips into a compartment below which you fill with water.
Unlike a normal pan/stove the oil/grease doesnt sit in the pan and smoke up.
This one has a drip tray where you fill water so the excess oil drips into. Having water in the drip tray reduces the amount of smoke.
It seems a pretty big thing in k-dramas where you have something like this in the middle of the restaurant table and the guests cut up the meat and cook the other guests a piece of pig skin. Or “MEAT!!!” (In Korean of course, that is just what the subtitles say).
will this set off the fire alarm in the apartments if I use this for Korean BBQ?
For everyone's info, this unit was selling for Yen5980 ex tax when we were in Japan in 2019. I regret I didn't buy it at the time. $83 including delivery to Australia is good price.
Didn't realise I needed this until now, and it's already gone ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )
If you have a portable butane stove, I think this would work as well.
Yeah can confirm this works well, though I got mine for 15$ on amazon
Have been trying to add it but Amazon won't let me. Now it's gone 😭
I care more about if the heat is strong enough to sear the meat nicely, its nice to have a BBQ that can use indoor but from reviews in Amazon (mainly the Japanese buyers) who complained the fire was too weak, any owner of this bbq can confirm their experience ?
purchased one last week and paid $112. lucky got this one today and will return it as the previous one to get $29 back. LOL
might be quicker to chat with the support. so much hard work.
have spoke with Amazon before purchasing, they can't just issue difference as credit. I have to purchase a new and do a return. lucky got one before out of stock.
yeah same exp. kinda stupid though… they pay for shipping both ways (prime) and process a credit instead of just giving you a credit.
yep its so dumb. i posted the newly delivered one back as the return once and they refunded me twice… so jokes on them.
Korean BBQ without charcoal? Why spend so much on a butane stove with a fry pan on top.
No smoke
Don't burn and no smoke? Smoke gives it flavour.
Are you wiping down the pan every single time you finish cooking a piece of meat? The oil and juices stay on the pan which causes the smoke, not the meat cooking.
It's Korean style
You can get Korean BBQ pans that go onto has burners ….this is convenience of pan and burner in one deal ….if you already have a burner for steamboats , sukiyaki, etc just buy the bbq pan with water well.
dang it, missed it :(
Back to $168 😩
might still be a good buy
Not as an ozbargainer!
They would have to hand in their ozb badge if they pay that price.
Damn that went quick
Paid $62.99 last week and still waiting for it to be deliver.
Thanks for sharing..
Did you get it from those new launch seller? …I think they are scammer… it was flooded at Amazon last couple of weeks for a couple of popular items.
No, not from those new launch seller.
Good for you then.
I saw those price too but it was from those new launch seller…
@pearl2013: I too got one for $62.99 the other week but also not delivered yet.It was from reboot online store. Was this the scam mentioned?
@rnicolson83: If it's from "reboot online" yes it is a scammer.
You can start claiming your money back from Amazon.
@pearl2013: Thanks
@rnicolson83: what is the status on the Amazon page? is it shipped?
@wangsk: Hi, not shipped yet. I've tried cancelling it.
@rnicolson83: Got a refund eventually and bought one for $145. So worth it…
dang, I missed it :(
Damniiittt. Just missed out
Completely don't need it but would have wanted to buy it to try!
1 hour….
That's really good price, I bought mine in Aug 2020 for $182
I bought 2 a few months ago, I live in an apartment and it does not cause any smoke provided that water is put into the plate where all the oils and fats drip into.
Damn….. just missed and now back to the original price
dammit missed out
Omg missed it!!
dammit how did imiss this one.
Great product. I bought it for about $150+ (excl. delivery) circa 2020 when the lockdown were at its peak and this got me and missus through months of missing Korean / Japanese BBQ.
Its so easy to clean too. Like everyone said, fill the compartment with water and let the grease fall on to it yielding minimal smoke. After cooking, simply dump the oil along with the water, and put the plate and the compartment into the dishwasher.
wait, aren't those non stick Teflon coating? And you put into dishwasher??
what's the difference if i just buy the grill like this one for $17
https://www.mydeal.com.au/korean-nonstick-bbq-grill-pan-for-…
and put it on my gasmate like this one for $24 from bunnings?
https://www.bunnings.com.au/gasmate-portable-bbq-butane-stov…
That gasmate has no drip tray. It would be a pain to clean afterwards.
the grill comes with drip tray
Where does it mention the drip tray, I want to buy it but it's not obviousfrom the listing.
@poglet: picture 5 in the link shows the drip tray
More smoke
how though? they all use gas don't they?
ok I see what you mean, no smoke is one of their features
Yep, I have a similar setup.
I had been looking into Korean BBQs last year but the price was just a bit too much.
I already had the portable stove for hot pot, so thought I'd just buy that grill plate with drip tray (on Amazon) instead and save $$$.
Works a treat and the stove now gets a lot of use all year round with hot pot and bbq.
How's the non stick performance? I'd be more keen if it was steel like in actual K bbq restaurants
Just checking are these actually safe to use indoors? I know people do, but literally every camping butane stove I have owned or seen have big warnings signs saying not to use in indoors or in enclosed spaces
Been using it for over 20 years. No issues
Have had this for a year now, absolutely love it. Is it smokeless? Not really, but does a great job grilling.
Just use a butane camper stove and fry pan. Same thing
you are missing the oil drip / less smoke part.
I missed out!
Weird, camel 3x isnt showing the correct minimum price? I've seen this for <$70? Up until about a week or so
I've actually had this on my list for a while. I've got one and gave it away and wanted to buy another but hesitated because there seems to be a v2
The $70 and $60 mark were all posted by those scammers…
IWATANI releases a new version every couple of years….function the same but look's better or different colour.

Silly question, what do I get if it's sold by scammers on Amazon? An imitation bbq that isn't smokeless??
Contact the ACCC
No… they took your money and not shipping the goods to you.
@pearl2013: Oh, never experienced that via Amazon! Didn't even know that was possible!
For those who missed out, and already has portable butane stove, this would probably be the same.
But at that price!! We could of got both!! NO DEAL
I thought Koreans and Japanese people didn't like each other.
yeah you might want to revisit the origins of those sorts of stereotypes…
It's true. You see Japs even have special section at major bookstores just for anti-Korean books and you know what? They do sell so well. Hating Korea has always been Jap Liberal party's pro paganda.
Ever heard about Korea's Boycott Japan campaign?
Even North Korea hates Japan so much LOL
what are some titles?
@Charity: A million seller Kenkanryu?
i'm not saying it's not true about the hate propagandas. there are history books out there that documents it.
it's one thing to give historical background context, but an entire thing altogether to claim an asian from country X don't like an asian from country Y as a generalisation.
so if that's not a stereotype, then explain what that other poster and you are trying to get at.
i'm keen to hear you out, how do you or nomadspartan think it works? walk up to a korean and ask if they hate that japanese just across the street? or when you see a korean and a japanese in the same office room, do you separate them in different areas?
or if i am a SE asian, am i obligated to go after any japanese because of WW2? really keen to hear what's the thought process there.
Seriously piss off with your hatred.
And stop saying "Jap"
Its considered an insult
I dont understand how can a post for a grill turn in to a racial argument is just beyond me.
Is it a normal price?
