Filters for Older Model Xiaomi Air Purifiers?

Needed a replacement filter for my air purifier, Xiaomi Air Purifier 2, and looking around it doesn't look like the filters even exist anymore besides the latest model. Anyone else had this problem? And can anyone comment on the knockoff ones on ebay - are they actually any good? I'm guessing the fact that none of them mention activated carbon - whereas the Xiaomi ones do - mean they won't be anywhere near as good.

Looks like my only option though, I used to just order them from kogan but even they have it listed as "preorder" right now. Even mi-store.com.au is out of stock.

Needed a replacement filter for my air purifier, Xiaomi Air Purifier 2, and looking around it doesn't look like the filters even exist anymore besides the latest model.

Because they have the same filter….. See here https://www.mi.com/us/product/mi-air-purifier-hepa-filter/sp…

    Filter is compatible with

Mi Air Purifier 2H/Mi Air Purifier 2S/Mi Air Purifier 2C/Mi Air Purifier 3C Mi Air Purifier 3H/Mi Air Purifier Pro

I used to just order them from kogan but even they have it listed as "preorder" right now. Even mi-store.com.au is out of stock.

So your issue isn't they don't make them, they are just out of stock.

    • Filter is compatible with

Mi Air Purifier 2H/Mi Air Purifier 2S/Mi Air Purifier 2C/Mi Air Purifier 3C Mi Air Purifier 3H/Mi Air Purifier Pro

New version is version 4. Not compatible. https://www.mi.com/global/product/xiaomi-smart-air-purifier-…

So your issue isn't they don't make them, they are just out of stock.

Assuming you believe that Kogan actually has them on order and won't just cancel it when no stock appears. They put everything that's out of stock as a "preorder".

I bought from Gearbite ebay stores for the 3H model, might be compatible with yours

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174179901294

These was out of stock a lot lately and Gearbite has recently stock them.

They have RFID so might be hard to counterfeit I think? But not 100% about this.

    • Yeah, I'm hoping there's just a supply shortage but it is weird that absolutely everywhere has sold out.

Wound up going with this one - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/254760733532 - not a legit one but hopefully it still works. There's at least a review from someone saying it's better than the normal one and it seems to tick all the boxes in terms of features (assuming they're not lying). Better than nothing.

      • The one I got from Gearbite seems legit, it has Mi logo on the box.
Has buying 2 from Gearbite last year as well hence I only buy from them.

      • how was this one?

        • Felt like the machine told me to replace it sooner than the normal ones, but it certainly had a lot of dust in it when I finally did change it over.

Didn't have any issues with particle levels in the air, when I burnt something in the kitchen one day the machine kicked into high gear and 2.5nm particle level dropped quickly.

All in all, seemed to work as expected, onto a second one at the moment. Mostly forgot they were non-branded.

    • They're not the Xiaomi made ones. Which isn't a problem, but I can get those off ebay.

Generally third party ones simply aren't as good though, in my experience. Some are downright terrible. At least the branded ones are consistent.

  • Following this. Any updates?
There are quite a few models of the xiaomi filters on eBay but they are marked as 'unbranded'.

    E.g.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/384350782694

    • There’s a company called AZ eShop selling them on Kogan and Amazon for $60. The Xiaomi Australian store has delisted it though, so I assume it’s EOL.

I should have grabbed more last year when they were $35 each :(
