Black Gloss GHD IV Hair Straightener, £79.99 Shipped (~AUD$125)

120

Got an e-mail from bodycare2000.com offering a free 'upgrade' from GHD IV classic to the limited edition black gloss version. These go for AUD$239 in the hair salons. http://www.ghdhair.com/au/limited-edition-ghds/ghd-black-glo…

I bought a Cloud-Nine straightener for my GF from this site recently. Service was pretty good, delivered in 16 days. The Cloud-Nines are as good as if not better than the GHDs. And yes, these expensive straighteners are better than the cheap $30 K-mart ones. My GF had a cheap one and it didn't slide as smoothly nor did it get her hair as polished.

edit: Comes with a UK plug. There's an option to include an AU adapter for 1 pound extra.

  • Might want to mention that this will have a UK plug, so you will need an adapter.

    • Cheers. Added to the notes.

  • There's no shame in admitting that you use these on your own hair…

I think the deal is a good price too.

  • My girl's one just stopped working. In perfect condition, working fine, next time plugged in, nothing. No LED light, no heat, no power.

Looks like a big market for repairing these

  • Great price, but a big down side is the adaptor can often lead to a really short life span. But is worth a +1

    • Do you have links to info on this?

    • how so?
basically same voltage and frequency just different pin arrangement? I believe the GHDs are dual voltage/freq also and can work in US on 60hz 110v. Although I dont know that for sure

  • Do these have an international warranty?

  • Are you sure these are real GHD? There isn't the GHD verified logo on the website. Looks a tad dodgy to me. Great deal if it is real GHD.
