Everdure 2200W Convection Panel Heater $89 at The Good Guys Online, $20 Delivery or Pick Up

50

I was looking for a cheap heater and this came up when I googled it. Shopbot said it was $122 but when I followed their link it was $89. So I bought it. BAM.

Looks like a decent heater, never heard of Everdure really, similar products with brand names are much more expensive. They are probably better but I can't afford a $400 heater right now.

Information on the heater is here - http://everdure.com/electric_heaters_HPE221W.php

    aren't these just glorified toasters?

honestly, if you look inside there is just an array of elements.

and then you have some bonus stuff like a timer or fan?

  • How these Panel Heater vs Oil Column Heater?

    • +1

I prefer Oil Column Heaters personally, they are slower to heat up but then continue heating after they are off so they work well with a thermostat to maintain temps, can't speak for the Panel Heater as I've never owned one. As the guy said above they are essentially a large toaster. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for one but that's just me.

EDIT: Plus you can dry your clothes on the oil heater, just don't cover the air vent.

      • Thanks! I'm using Oil Column Heater right now and though Panel Heaters better coz of the RRP.

  • Anyone find a store available for pickup?

  • I use an 7 fin 1500w oil heater to warm my room on cold nights. Like now. My friend just went and bought a Linda Panel Heater from Target for $59, it is this ceramic paneled heater that uses 425W and it works better than a normal oil heater because Heat can radiate from its sides—compared to oil in which it is only mostly heat rising from the top. But the thing is, there is a a little ceramic smell…

    • But that is an el cheapo target one… I have an expensive panel heater in the baby's room and it is great.

Remember that 2200W heaters cost 50 cents an hour to run.

Unless you are feeling cold, wear a jumper, good for your pocket and the environment.

    • Well depends on what percent in its cycle is on but generally correct.
Also 2200w may be overkill depending on the size if the room. rule of thumb is 100w per 1sqrm(m^2).
