    What's so odd about micro USB? It's been around for a long time.

      Micro USB 3.0 has been around for a long time but lets not pretend it is anywhere near as common as Micro USB 2.0, USB C or Lighting. Odd is an appropriate word for it in my view, unlike the other types, the vast majority of people wouldn't even be able to recognise the port or cable if you showed it to them.

        Perhaps so, but my S5 (flagship) phone uses it, plus a bunch of portable HDDs ive got over the years. I still have more micro 3.0 than usb C in my house, but perhaps it depends on the type of peripherals people are exposed to, eg people that never owned printers probably think USB-B is odd.
