Coming up as cheapest on the camels. Does seem to be cheaper than the other few places that seem to stock it. Having a little bit of trouble finding reviews for it which is a little worrying. Does anyone have any experience with this particular range of power supplies?

Is there a way to turn off RGB?
Smash it with hammer.
And then power it on to make sure RGB is off:)
Unplug the power supply
The (in)famous PSU Tier list on Tom's Hardware
This model seems legit (Tier A), and it's got a 10 year warranty which is promising.
Surprised I haven't come across this before. Will have to bookmark this. Thanks :D
Might want to bookmark the source for this list, it's also updated more often.
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/Thanks :D
My PSU Gigabyte | P-GM [non-Aorus] <=850W is marked in this list as replace immediately.
Bought mine in June this year. I reckon it's OK and they have an abundance of caution.@Weshouldgetsushi: I'm not hugely into PSU's, but I'm pretty sure that was the one that had the unfortunate habit of bursting into flames at inoppurtune times. Have you checked the serial number, made sure it's not on the recall list?
@tofuofdoom: Yep - thanks for the heads up though.
@Weshouldgetsushi: The Gigabyte GP PSUs are pretty legendary for literally exploding.
Was in a stream where we tried to warn a technician not to use one - it took out his hardware - even the freaking power board@mycosys: Jeepers - I'd better bin it on those comments.
I also use https://linustechtips.com/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-rev-14… a bit outdated but pretty good.
The GF1 version was well recommended here:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711938
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/thermaltake-toughpower-…I don't know the difference between the GF1 and the iRGB/iSeries.
Both are in this "Tier A" list, but only the GF1 and the iRGB Platinum flavour are marked as top of their tier:
https://linustechtips.com/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-rev-14…By the way the GF1 ARGB 850W is also $149 on Amazon
Wonder what the difference is between the two.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's just an RGB fan. TT seem hellbent on putting RGB on everything…
They are both RGB though. The specs seem very similar. I didn't look really closely though.
@ozbs25: I though the GF1 non ARGB was just white ring LED fan
@notaccel: Sorry, I think we are talking about different things. I meant the GF1 ARGB and the Toughpower iRGB seem very similar. They are the same price right now but the RRP of the iRGB one is higher.
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ .. Tier A speculative position
cheers, just picked up the 650+ GF1 for $99 next day delivery.
Sufficient for Ryzen 7950X, 4090 build? Ryzen around 230W and GPU drawing upwards to 600 I've heard.
We really wont know until the thing is released tbh. Its 'only' ATX 2.4 which means its very unlikely to support the 200% microsecond power spikes that have been specced for ATX 3.0 supplies with PCIE5 power.
3080/3090 are pretty well known for brief power spikes that trip the over current protection of ATX2 power supplies that should be well within spec.
If you wanna be sure i would get a PSU about that size but PCIE5/ATX3.Intel ATX v3.0 Spec - The end of all current PSUs?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRDdBb6hn2gYeah, plus psu Recommendations are often off
My 3060 ti recommends 600w psu, yet runs fine on an sf450 platinum with a 5700g
What makes this power tough?
why are PSUs above 1Kw so expensive, surely yields are not that bad.
The last RGB i had was armageddon and since I have had PSD from RGB in PSU.
Been using the 750W (~8 months) version of this (driving a ROG Strix RTX 3080 12G). Solid PSU.
