Sit/Stand Desks - Jiecang/Linak/Okin - Others?

Does anyone have any recommendations for adjustable desks that do not contain Jiecang components?

Whilst the customer service for the many Jiecang suppliers in Australia seems to be good, I have some reservations about the quality/reliability of the actual products (hence the need for competition in customer service levels?), so I'm looking into alternatives.

Linak seems to be the gold standard here, but they are expensive and frame sizes are a bit larger than my needs necessitate.

Looks like the American stuff is out of the running as shipping costs would likely be ridiculous.

Okin (Okin/DewertOkin being part of a global group called Phoenix Mecano - similar to Linak from what I can tell) - I've found (only) a couple of places selling desks with Okin components in what appear to be 'Hi5' brand desks - AMA Products - dual motor, 2-stage (based in Sydney) and Adjustable Desks Australia - dual motor, 3-stage (Melbourne).

Has anyone had any experience with these suppliers/products with the Okin actuators?

  • ikea has linak in the idasen

    • Are these single motor? I've heard/read some negative reviews/feedback about the stability of these units, but I'd imagine most desks would be relatively unsteady at height. Cost is a little on the high side, also.

  • Ergomotion also use linak on all their desks.

    • Are these single motor? My desk top is hardwood, with dual 24" monitors on Hafele spring arms, so I'd be concerned about the lifting capacity. I wouldn't be going anywhere near the duty cycle, but wouldn't want to put unnecessary strain on it either way, so thought dual motor would be better.

      • I've sat on my desk single motor LINAK Desk Frame 2 and had it lift no problem. Kitted out on peripherals and a SFF PC mounted, but not a hardwood top.
