Trying to find a good gaming laptop on a budget for $1000 or under with these particular specs.
CPU: Processor Intel Core i5 2400 3.4 GHz or i5 7400 3.5 GHz / AMD Ryzen R5 1600X 3.6 GHz.
RAM: 8 GB RAM.
GPU: Video NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB or GTX 1060 6GB / AMD R9 390 8GB Memory 8 GB RAM.
With decent storage space.

Need to look at gumtree to get a laptop with the specs as it is 10 years old.
Obviously, you're after something that exceeds those specs you listed.

The only site I can find that compares the two is userbenchmark, so that's not reliable enough to share…. but I seriously doubt a mobile gtx1650 would outperform a desktop 1060?
No it won't but it's good enough to play Destiny 2.
id look at the dell G15 thats always on here, i run one i dont game but has a 3050 and a 5600x i added some extra ram also. its a touch over 1k and will out last your specced pc.
Also consider for the RTX range if not GTX the tpw will effect the performance a fair chunk.
i have no doubt a 2060 super will prolly run rings arround my 3050.
