I'm considering purchasing a laptop via the Lenovo online store, however the website indicates it will take "5-6 weeks". Is this a maximum time?
Keen to hear from those who have ordered from Lenovo online before - how long did it take for you to receive your laptop purchase?
Most OEM's build to order and take 4 weeks to deliver if you order off the menu. If you ask for extra RAM or different storage expect 6 weeks.
damn very difficult then if buying to claim TRS may miss the flight date
I have heard they take quite awhile.
But I am still perplexed by the "$100 worth of Free points no minimum spend" deal that was honored. Those deal claimers even seemed to get their orders with lightning speed.
Almost a year ago I was chatting to them asking for a discount on an expensive product and the best they would offer was 10% off which was also available to "anyone who signed up to the newsletter". The discount was nowhere near $100 and they would not budge, stingy I thought for a big company so I took my money elsewhere.
Then suddenly they give out $100 vouchers to everyone? And with expedited shipping? What happened? Huge change in management maybe?
I ordered a Thinkpad (in stock, standard unit) from Lenovo in June. Ordered on Friday and it was delivered in SA on the following Thursday. It started in Sydney and went via Melbourne, so you can probably knock 2 days off that time if you're in the Eastern states.
If the store is quoting weeks, then it's likely not in stock.
my last lenovo order of the USB C charger never arrived,
that was my first and last experience with lenovo website orders. I wasnt even refunded automatically, nor many others like me

The only problem, it arrived 5 days after I went south for a months work in NSW….grrrrrr.
Mostly set up now after 3 days and it flies……..I shall enjoy binning the 2 mth old Chromebook.
What was the estimate shipping time when you placed the order?
Mine said 5-6 weeks, so I don't know if its possible that it would arrive well before that timeframe. I'm the same as you - about to head off travelling, and very keen to receive the new laptop before I depart.
4-5 weeks, as it was a spec build. Then the usual pending parts supply or other issues, yet is was quite a deal better than their estimate.
My last order of a IdeaPad Flex 5 16" was fulfilled in exactly 28 days, from the date of payment being processed.
