Booked some flights with the 10% Virgin cashback yesterday but no idea where to stay? Well by pure absolute coincidence and not cleverly marketed at all, there's now boosted cashback at Booking.com.

As usual check prices first on the booking.com website before clicking through Cashrewards as some hotels jack up the price when clicking through cashback partners. Booking.com sometimes raises prices as it looks through your browsing cookies, so best to go incognito or clear browsing cookies if they seem higher. Thanks bargainsgrabber for the info!

  Hotels do not price jack just because you clicked through Cashrewards or ShopBack. It’s based on the fact that Booking.com monitors your clicks through cookies. Best to either go incognito or clear browsing cookies

  Got 11% recently on a hotel booking in Bali for October and 20% on Expedia via Cheddar for another hotel.

  There was no price jacking in either case.

  Oh nice! was going to book a hotel in SG yesterday with CR when it was 7% but better judgement told me not to. my incompetence has finally reward me lol

    Cashback is eligible on accommodation bookings only. Car rentals, flights, and non-accommodation bookings are ineligible for cashback.

  compared my hotels i'm looking at between booking.com and agoda and it seems the booking.com price after cashback = agoda price. YMMW

    Is that the Agoda price with or without tax? They often don't include it in results.
    I assume all Ozbargainers know this, but booking.com's discounted prices on the mobile app worth checking before booking via desktop using CR.

      Including tax. Yea Agoda is shifty as they display before tax prices until you click reserve button. I haven't tried using cashback so it's most likely cheaper on Agoda though

  Booking.com are crooks. Accidently clicked paid now, charged $489, asked for a refund received the next day only for $476. Said it was exchange rate difference. Yeah sure in one day??

      No, they stuck with the exchange rate excuse. $13 doesn't break the bank but it sure pisses me off lol

  No idea how to turn this back on, but 12% is currently back on. At least for me
