Dryer Deals - Esatto 7kg Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7

I am looking for a dryer under $650 mark.
Based on recent deals seems "Esatto 7kg Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7" is popular and is a good option for me.
Sometimes it has dropped below $600 as well.
Please share any deal or current best price for this model?
OR any better option in this price range?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using the search function on this website?

  • I called up appliances online to see when it would be available and they said this model has been discontinued and Esatto won't release a new version until mid-October at the earliest.

  • Esatto have a couple of versions and under multiple brands, the Solt one at Good Guys is the same company (has been under $600 before, but currently $900) - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/solt-7kg-heat-pump-dryer-ggsh…

Bunnings also have a 8kg Esatto, it was below $700 when Aldi also had a heat pump dryer on sale - https://www.bunnings.com.au/esatto-8kg-white-heat-pump-dryer… but right now it's the best value one at $767 for a 8KG one, if you can stretch an extra hundred.

Depending on how much you use it, I'd stretch for the extra. I saw my power bill drop $10-15 a month when I bought mine two years ago. Paid $878 then, well worth it.

  • On a related note, is it common for a "Heat Pump Dryer" is produce a lot of lint? Earlier I had a tumble dryer and I'm almost getting 2-3 times of more lint with the Esatto model. Anyways to reduce it? Thanks.

Sorry if you were reading my post on other heat pump dryer page, but if it helps, this is what I posted earlier. Best price is very subjective due to the economy and currency moves, but the appliance itself is seem to be good. I'm using Esatto for last 1.5 year. Big brands are awesome - no mistake here. I always ask myself are they $500 - $1000 more awesome. From my observations - not really. So here it is, if money is tight - there is nothing wrong with Esatto at all…
Here what I posted in the previous forum when Esatto question was asked:

A a bit over a year ago I purchased Esatto EHDP7 and can't recommend it higher to all of those who value a great (relative) heat pump on very tight budget.
I'm not good at videos, but after creating a couple and seen community response I kept going… For those, who is interested:

You're most welcome. Doing my best with what I have :-)

        • How long the AUTO mode runs for?

          • @bluespider: Depends on load and how wet it is. On average 2.5 hours

            • @Kapitoshka: Hi Greg, ran this machine couple of time …1st run was about 2hrs and 2nd run was about 3.45hrs (more load than 1st).
But it collected lot of lint, please chk : https://imgur.com/a/BXpMR1s
              Is this normal?

              • @bluespider: Looks like a question dupe, replied at the other thread. Please let us know if you have any other questions :-)

                • @Kapitoshka: Hi Greg, my machine is consistently running over 3hrs (mostly 3.5 to 4hrs) with AUTO mode.
                  Is this normal?
What mode do you recommend for mix-cloths?

Lastly, Was looking at Ms Fix-It Dryer Balls - Assorted $6.50(bigw.com.au).
They claim to help fluff towels and mainly speeds up drying time.
Wondering if dryer balls work really works to speed up drying time?

                  • @bluespider: It all depends on the load and your washing machine final spin. Also, most of the drying is done within 2 - 3 hours, but if you choose anti-crease it may prolong it for another hour.
Sorry, I can't provide any feedback on Dryer Balls. I noticed that if I time drying perfectly, get it out as soon as it is done and fold immediately results are not as bad. But I'm not expecting much as I'm usually drying full 10kg washing machine load in 7kg rated dryer, so some imperfections are part of my expectations :-).

                    • @Kapitoshka: Thanks. Any way to disable/stop the anti-crease? Any impact of not using anti-crease?

                      • @bluespider: No worries. There is a button for anti-crease. If the light under it is off, the function is not selected. I don't find much value in anti-crease if I can offload the load as soon as it is finished. I usually select the function if I can't be at home when all done. When drying is finished and anti-crease kicks in you can turn off the dryer at any time. This is the way for me to reduce creasing if I can't be there when drying is done. Hope it helps.
