    No idea about the OPs cable but the Kmart 1m one is just too short for me, I need 1.2-1.5 so it can run from floor to sit on bench top.
    Last one I got was from Officeworks but was some stupid price.

  Just buy a cable from K-Mart. The quality is great, lasted longer than any cable I've bought on some special discount through Ozb. In fact, I don't think I've had one malfunction/not work yet.

    I've had a 2m lightning cable fail from Kmart. Take it back and show that you've bought from them before or show your receipt and you'll get a replacement.
