    That seems like a bit of a bad idea.
    I assume you mean for an astronomical scope? A ball head would be pretty annoying for that, and I very much doubt the "15kg" load rating stated in the description.

    still camera tripod not really a good idea for telescopes, if you have long focal length and/or high magnification eye piece, very light touch on your focuser will probably shake it so much that the image on the eye piece bounces everywhere… video tripod might be more sturdy?
