[PC] Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) $29.50 (67% off $89.95) @ Battle.net

110

Have had an itch to play the CoD campaign for a while, but $89.95 for 6 hours of gameplay just isn't good value. Suspected a sale would occur soon as they try to promote the upcoming sequel.

Is multiplayer any good on this? Or does everyone just play warzone?

they really need to stop using the same name for different games. i was about to make a snide comment over the audacity of charging 30 bucks on "sale" for a 15 year old game when i read the part about multiplayer and thought hang on, the multiplayer should be well and truly dead by now oh

Yeah, totally agree, I almost got tricked by the steam sale (especially because the older one was labelled a "Remaster" of the oldest one). They should just start labelling it by year and month…

I really liked the campaign on this one, it was really well done.

Except that one mission that just drags and is needlessly fiddly. Happy to never repeat needing to dial a nokia to distract someone repeatedly.

    • Oh god forgot about that one. Disliked that one quite a bit.

Multiplayer is still alive and well down under. Modes like TDM/FFA/S&D/Domination/HQ are fine in the afternoon and nights but you won't be getting into many Aussie ground war (32v32) servers - they are mainly Asian or American.

I probably wouldn't be spending $30 on this at the moment given the player base is about to split once again with MW II (2022) two months away.

Still a decent amount of players, that's with crossplay enabled (i.e. PC and console players).

Imo it's one of the best COD games, but I'm not sure how long the community will last when the new COD due on October 28 comes out.

I really enjoyed both the single and multi on this one, worth it for the campaign alone I think.

I own this, pretty dead Game no new content. I would save my $30 and maybe buy the newer versions when on sale. Literally no new content or events for this game, you can't even complete the co-op missions as no one plays the Co-op game types.

Mate idk what you were expecting, constant new content for an existing one time purchase game is pretty stupid thing to expect to be honest.

Besides that’s a subscription model or micro transaction model everyone dislikes, so I am glad it isn’t.

Same as the previous comments, if you wanna buy it just for the campaign go for it, in terms of players, there are at the moment, but moving forward after the next COD I'm not sure how long it'll last. I'd probably do a google search for keys first to see if you can get it cheaper. 30$ to play a campaign.

    • yep. you will only really get a good run at multi for the next 2 months (game is alive and well) but i wouldnt buy it for multi specifically, even at this price. for the campaign, go nuts

  • I bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2007) recently, still it is available for $13.50 at fanatical,

  • Trying to buy but says I already own it. But look at my library and it's not there.

    Anyone else have this issue?
