for those who are curious about the lunar pilot watch versions 96A225 vs 96B251 (date) in relation to the original lunar pilot.

the original has:
no date complication
bead blasted finish
letter "A" in bulova logo is the same as the 96A225
seems that bulova has changed the logo from the old A to the new A with a sweeping A. the difference is minor but something I saw when I compared the 2 with the original.
96B251 is my daily driver, awesome looking watch with cool history. I've been meaning to measure my wrist for a while now but haven't gotten around to it, but it doesn't look massive on my wrist at all, which seemed to be the main complaint. I'll measure my wrist this afternoon to add some context.
Wears big on wrist . Only downfall
Comparable to the similar Omega Speedmaster,the Bulova is bigger and cheaper and that's the two parameters really.I have a Speedmaster but would buy the Bulova in a heartbeat.Go for it!
The Speedy was also legitimately on the moon the Bulova wasn't but having to wind it and pay 20x the price might exclude it from the conversation.
