come on amazon $59 and $20 voucher again and i'll get another two :c
Or better still, 2x for $69.
yep that would be fantastic too
Now I regret not getting it 2 for $69 a few weeks back.
Just a question: as far as I know all 4K TVs have smart capabilities and the apps - what would you use the firestick for and what advantage would it have, let's say over the built in chrome cast on my Sony?
TIA
Not all smart TVs are the same. Some don't support all apps
Built in Google tv usually slow. 4k max rarely lags.
Yes, these are Amazingly fast. Toggle between, Netflix, Prime and Disney is like instant.
I loaded an app called TiviMate and watch LiveTV though it.
Where did you get the M3u playlist to use with TiviMate?
@lardel: Still using the same one from when I used Plex IPTV Plug-Ins

I have the paid TiviMate subscription, could be other players it's the one I am used to.
@UltimateAI: thanks for the details
Can you control it using your TV's remote control?
@trippy: Not to my knowledge, but you can use the FireStick remote to control your Television and other devices like HomeTheatre. Uses a combination of HDMI CEC and IR (for devices that don't support CEC)
My 4K Samsung doesn't have apps, or a tv tuner.
Can your TV play 4k HDR from a local source?
I purchased these for my parents,
a) Their Hisense was somewhat crippled
b) Single easy to use remote controls (TV, Soundbar and The Fire)
c) Inbuilt WiFi on their TV kept was crap, Netflix kept pausing.
After using it I purchased two for myself (one when I travel), love the dedicated Buttons and it's SUPER fast compared to my Sony (it's a few years old now).
May not be for everyone as the remote feels a little brittle.
how do they find the remote control, that is the hardest thing for the older gen to use i find the vodafone TV good for that
Much improved over the TV remote (they find the TV remote too overwhelming), it just has the buttons they need (Mainly Prime and Netflix). They do complain about Prime FW\RW but that's not the remote..:)
It's quite small though, wonder how long before they lose it.
@UltimateAI: you can get the case with the strap so they can hang it up on a hook or something
My 4 year old hisense has a crap os imo and for a whole YouTube app was broken lol
Waiting for the sale of Echo and planning to use it as Zigbee hub!
ZigBee is limited on them
Keen for more details as to why Zigbee on Echo is limited? Thx
https://www.smarthomepoint.com/amazon-echo-devices-with-zigb…
Really depends on what your planning to use, I have Hue eco system with dimmers and taps, and I have Xiaomi Zigbee devices as well which arent support by Alexa
Isnt this a sale of echo? Are you waiting for this deal or another deal for zigbee capability?
There's an echo and echo dot. The dot is the one featured here, but it's the regular echo that has the zigbee hub.
Me, Frankie, Jimmy and some Italian guy were looking for these.
Anyone price matched the Max at officeworks?
yep, they had it in the back, got it for around $56.
dont forget 10% CB through SB
Is this new echo sound any better than the older 3rd gen?
Thanks, got Max.
$42 at OW for echo dot 4th gen if that's closer for anyone.
