Just bought 2 of the Corelle 'Winter White Frost' 16 Piece Round Dinner Set (Original price: $48) in BigW and some Corelle bowls. BigW is having a 25% off Corelle dinnerware and loose dinnerware.

Description: The Corelle 'Winter White Frost' 16 Piece Round Dinner Set is the original break and chip resistant glass dinnerware. Featured are 4 x dinner plates, 4 x bread and butter plates, 4 x soup / cereal bowls and 4 x mugs. It comes with a 3 year replacement warranty against breaking and chipping.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me

  • How much for the colour set? discount as well?

    • Didn't see any solid colour sets at Waverley Gardens BigW. It seems like all Corelle dining sets are on sale so it depends on what kind of stock your local BigW has. It took me a while to find the winter frost set because it was kind of pushed to the back and they didn't put the discount price on display for it. Good luck finding some.

Best plates I have ever used (and washed)!!

  • These are good plates. Like not even joking, quality stuff.

  • Great deal if u dont have any corelle yet. I've had my corelle dinnerware for the past 14 years and I used to think I'll buy a new design when these break ( or chip or discolour!) but no such luck, they are still going great.

But as Im sick n tired of looking at the same design all these years, I will go buy the white ones. Thanks op.

Unfortunately the mugs are made of standard very easily breakable material. For some wierd reason they stopped making break resistant cups and mugs.

I don't think Winter Frost ever came with break resistant mugs. We bought ours 12 or 15 years ago, and they were just regular mugs ever then.

One thing about the plain white is that it doesn't date like some of the patterns can. When this stuff does decide to break, it can sure make a mess.
