As a true Ozbargainer I have held out of buying a bag for my tennis racquet for over 12 months. Now that this on sale at 15%, saving $2.24 it was time to pull the trigger.

Fit my standard size 100 Wilson racquet perfectly, there is some room to spare so it should fit racquets with larger head too like Yonex ones.

Light padded lining so it's not something you can throw it around still, but good enough to protect from scuff and scratch when I throw it in the car, into the garage etc.

Most places has them at $15 and with shipping on top in comparison.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

I know those ones, they have absolutely no lining at all, this one is full length and has light padded lining.

A true OzBargainer would use a 10c garbage bag

        • A true OzBargainer would use the free plastic bag they got with the free Woolworths home delivery trial.

          • @illogicalerror: A true Ozbargainer would probably ask to put the racquet together with the play partner's proper bag. Scratching both racquets is more worth it than just getting mine scratched by itself.

  • Doesn't every racquet come with a bag or a cover at the least? I have never seen one that doesn't. Maybe if it was a bag that held multiple racquets I would be in

    • I think most of the top tier racquets i.e. ones that the pros use today actually don't. My dad bought a Wilson hammer back long ago and that came with its own branded single case. I got the RF 97 last year and it came with no case (most likely to cut costs).

      • Or most likely to upsell a bag and profit even more from people at the top willing to pay the big bucks. I am willing to bet a cheap racquet costs not much less to make than an expensive one, it's probably all R&D, and the price would be exponentially higher, and more profitable even with the R&D considered

    • That's right, the more serious racquets ($80+) actually don't come with a case, some don't even come with string, the shop/seller string it for you with what you want/need.

It is assumed that if you can fork out $100+ on a racquet, you take the sport semi-seriously, so should have existing bag (with multiple racquets) or has no problem affording a separate one.

      • Or it could be you, buying a single bag a year later when it drops by 5 bucks :)

        • saved 2.24 bucks after waiting 2 years!
