  • nice find.

anyone know when the 55" is coming to aus?

    • +2

Pretty sure Sony announced it won’t be

  • +1

    Nice find op..

  • Isn’t it 20% off the soundbar, not the TV?

    • Can confirm it's the total price

      • Wonder how long that will last lol. Does seem contrary to the description on the TV page

      • Yep though it does read that its soundbar, its off the total price. Mine is confirmed and delivered tomorrow

        • In the US this TV only sells with soundbar included. You cannot get the TV by itself. I'm guessing its the same here.

          • @Whisper Quiet: That's a bit weird as there isnt even space for a soundbar under it if you use the stand (which is a pretty big oversight)

  • Lovely find. Was looking for an excuse to drop an extra $1k on the sony over the Samsung (or LG G2) - doesn't look like I have to…

    • Just ordered. Can confirm A95K came to $4395 total.

      Nice!

      • you including Shopback for that price?

        • No. Shopback is terrible at best from my experience. So we'll wait and see if that actually comes through. The cheap soundbar was $199.20 plus 55 shipping.

          • @Thiefsie: Which sound bar is that? Cheapest I found is $249

            • @bestbarginever: My figures are after the discount - so $4395 A95K plus $199.20 HTS-100F plus $55 shipping = $4650.20 total.

Slightly more than the standard Samsung S95B cost and a lot better value than the LG G2 current rate (which was availalbe for $4.5k a week or two ago).

Very bad idea to waste money on Samsung's overpriced old tech, it'll soon be on track to join beta max and HD-DVD.

      • +4

What old tech? Samsung Display made the same QD-OLED panel that went into the S95B as this.

        • Samsung made everyone dyslexic with the QLED marketing.

  • Also confirming 20% discount works on all Sony 2022 sizes.

    • Still need to drop $2.5k on the 48 though (after discount).
Not sure if the 10% stack?

    • +1

      $7395.20 total for 83" A90J + HTS100F (10% code HOME doesn't stack)

  • Well that didn't take long for a better price on these to emerge

  • Good find op. For those that have seen one, there’s a camera on top of the tv which can be removed.

  • Wasnt it an extra 10% off yesterday?

  • +1

Looks like the website has been fixed, only 10% off the sound bar now

  • +1

Not working for me - just getting $49 off sound bar
    Sony 65" Bravia XR OLED 4K Google TV 2022 1 $5495.00
    Sony 2.0Ch 120W Soundbar 1 $249.00
    Promo Code: −$49.80
    Total: $5694.2

  • Mm QD-OLED

    That's the dream.

  • It's fixed, promo only working on the sound bar not the whole cart.

    • damn, I may have ozbargained myself. Already had a call to schedule the delivery, lets hop I dont get another one shortly

      • +1

I bet you'll get it if they've scheduled. Now I'm hoping mine won't get cancelled. They've taken the money so fingers crossed I get the go ahead. How long after ordering did they confirm delivery for you?

        • About an hour, was pretty impressed

          • @ellave: I haven't got a call yet but the soundbar status is ready for pick-up (??) on my order whilst the telly is back ordered at my local shop - even though I'm getting it delivered.

            Has yours arrived yet?

            • @Thiefsie: It's on the truck for delivery. Toll told me should be here on Monday. Soundbar is back ordered.

I am in Melbourne and TV was shipping from the Brighton store

              • +1

@ellave: I got the call from my local and they have the SB but are just waiting for the TV to come in…! So all good!

                • @Thiefsie: Excellent

                  • @ellave: Did you receive yours? I'm still waiting on GG to fulfill the backorder but otherwise it's promising. They haven't given me a date unfortunately.

  • +3

Damn as nice as QD-OLED is, for that price I'd still rather a 77" OLED when they come down to this price every now and then when on sale.

  • How does thia compare to LG OLEDs?

    • Slightly better on ways most users wouldn’t even notice

  • I just bought a 77 " lg g1 for $5000, I would choose that over the Sony if you have the room

    • Can you tell me where from? Good price

      • Jb, went in store and charmed the hell off him

      • LG g1 went for $4796 in JB. Best time to buy TVs is just before the EOFY.

  • waiting for the 77inch to drop in price

  • +1

Looks like they fixed this to just discount the soundbar. hopefully it goes through for those that ordered

  • +1

I think this is the trend now. 65" is becoming the minimum size for a lot of living rooms and people are now looking towards 77".
I would definitely go LG 77" C2 for around 5-6k than this one. The size difference would be much more noticeable than the difference between qd-oled and woled.
If anything, I am really looking forward to the proper price war between the different oleds now.

    • +1

Cannot agree more. Size matters more than anything for emersion

    • Gaming I prefer smaller, get nausea on some games on big screens

  • Why so exe? Better than lg?

    • Better processing, better oled technology and built quality.

  • +1

Waiting for 77 or 83. Most likely in next year.

  • Interersting. I paid $4100 for a 65" Panasonic OLED in 2017.
    Prices not that different.

    • +5

      Technology is.
This is not the same type of OLED that you bought in 2017.

  • Argh, annoying that I missed this
I have an alert set on "QD-OLED", but it seems that because the original title didn't include this and was only added in an edit, it didn't trigger the alert email to be sent.

    • Check the whirlpool thread, some guy is saying he got $4755 from gg
