Got this lens to use with my XT-4, works much better than I expected.

    • Nice. I've been thinking of selling my Fuji 33mm 1.4 because I have that range covered on another camera. How do you find manual focusing at 1.4?

      • +1

Takes a while to get used to. Focus Peak highlights is a great way to achieve tack sharp focus.

      • Is the 33mm any good? I still use the 35mm 1.4 but it's pretty slow

        • +1

Yeah it's a great fast lens. I bought an x100v though, so I use that mostly and have a 90mm on the xt4.

  • Any recommendations (similar to this lens) for a full frame Sony A7?

      Samyang/Rokinon 35mm f1.4 - amazing performance for the price

It's not sub $100 though more around the mid $500s

      • agree with this.

    • At the given price point, an old F1.4 ROKKOR FD manual lens would be a good buy

    • (similar to this lens)

TTArtisan have a FF 50mm f2. Similar price, equivalent focal length, size, etc.

Haven't used it myself but there's positive reviews all over the place for the price.

If you're after that vintage look and as cheap as possible the Helios 44-2 is perfect.

    • You can still use this one and just need to corp the photos at the end. I've seen people using it that way with very impressed result.

  • one wonders how the hell they are making and selling this thing for a profit for $100???

there's 7 or 8 glass element in this + all the machining

Mass produced in China factory. Making profit from cheap labour & slowly gain market.

I have the TTArtisan 50mm F1.2 (76mm equivalent), very enjoyable to use and takes amazing portraits. This seems like a good price for the 35mm (53mm equivalent) - couldn't resist adding it to my collection.

I also just pick up 17mm f1.4 for those tight spaces, with the afterpay code come to $134

  • How does this compare to a Pergear 35mm 1.2?

  • I'm being charged $5 postage

  • Just realised my order has an expected delivery date of 9th Sep, isn't it shipped from Sydney?

    • Same here… The listing does say that it ships from Sydney, but it also mentions that estimated delivery is 6-12 Sep

  • Can someone help me with the focal length conversion, I order the one fo rthe canon m50, so this 35mm essentially becomes a 56mm full frame equivalent am i correct?

    • yes.. 35mm on the aps is roughly about 50mm equivalent

      • tah. damn duplicated my lenses a little bit.

already had a 50mm nifty fifty on eos and was using that witha. viltrox speed booster adapter that was doing a 0.7x magnification so was getting 53mm equivalent on that anyway.

lease this manual lense is quite fun and the look is quite different.
