Clearance, while stocks last. Little under 50 units of each on hand. Roughly 30-40% off what they appear to be going for at other retailers, and ~ 50% off SRP for what ever that's worth.

If you're unsure if the above is compatible with your device, the crucial website has a pretty solid online compatibility checker.

https://www.crucial.com/store/advisor

We have a few units in retail blister packs but the majority are in bulk packaging. Originally purchased from Crucial for to be installed in a batch of NUCs, however that particular project never went ahead, thus this clearance sale! Regardless of retail packaging or not, they're all brand new and come fully covered by Crucial's limited lifetime warranty on all their DDR4 products. We'll be sure to package each kit that doesn't already have retail packaging securely and in anti-static packaging for each shipment.

Pickup welcome at our Keysborough 3173 location although we ask you please place the order online first as it's a click & collect facility and service center only, not a retail store or showroom.

Your site needs a delivery cost estimate on either the product page or the cart. I don’t want to create an account just to see the postage

    • +6

Man I hate sites that make you do that.

      • +1

It’s the worse. I’ve been to sites where they hide the postage costs until you enter all your details to find out they charge like $22 for a small item.
If they’re not upfront with the price then I just don’t bother

note that this requires XMP support

not every laptop will be able to run these at 3200 speed, check compatibility

    • Note these kits will default to JEDEC 2666 if your laptop doesn't support Intel XMP.

      • yep that's exactly what happened to me

        I avoid ballistix since then

Just because we've had a couple of inquiries now that seem to be referencing this comment, no it doesn't haven't be "Intel XMP" specific. AMD Ryzen chipset laptops (or small form factor desktops that run SO-DIMM RAM) can run these modules at their full rated speeds. Just be sure to check the Crucial compatibility checker linked in the original post first.

Also, yes as shellshocked pointed out in his comment just above too, if the motherboard / laptop you're slotting the RAM into doesn't support the XMP profile on the RAM (a limitation of the motherboard / chipset, not the RAM itself) it will default the JEDEC default in most cases of 2666MHz and still function perfectly fine otherwise.

Last but not least, if it doesn't appear in the compatibility on the crucial website for any given device, it should work at the aforementioned base JEDEC spec just fine on the vast majority of SO-DIMM DDR4 compatible devices, as long as they support 1.35v modules (with rare exceptions).

Also if the crucial website doesn't list your particular model device, you can also check the device manufacturers website for supported modules also. These compatibility lists are far from comprehensive, it's just what has been tested and confirmed by the manufacturer. More often than not if the voltage, CAS timings and frequency all match any set that is listed as compatible, you'll have no issues.

  • so.. note that it seems the 16GB kit is 1.35V while the 32GB kit is 1.2V

    • Apologies, as noted in a comment below; after confirming the details both kits are 1.35v, not 1.2v.

Crucial part #s if you need to confirm any specs via their website, are BL2K16G32C16S4B & BL2K8G32C16S4B

    Dual rank ? Or

  • Why does the 32GB set say, 3200MHz
    but description says, pc4-21300?

    • Oh dear,. that appears to be an error! We're on it. Should be fixed up in a moment. Can confirm, the correct specs are 3200MHz PC4-25600 / 1.35v / CL16 for both the 16GB and 32GB kits.

edit : all fixed. apologies for the mix up!

  • Good price, these are great for upgrades in OEM builds cause Crucial/Micron do a lot of OEM ram, I put a kit in my partners nitro 5 and it made a significant difference in performance.

    • In what way did you see a "significant difference in performance"? Memory does very little unless you're using integrated graphics and bandwidth starved.

      • There’s plenty of documentation online to show what a dual channel, faster clock speed ram upgrade can do for a Ryzen CPU. I don’t really need to explain it, the YouTubers are much better equipped for that, there are real world performance gains to be had(both inside and out of gaming)

Nitro 5 has a dedicated GPU, btw, it’s a gaming laptop.

Around 12.95$ to ship to VIC. Why do I have to create a fake login to know this?

We have a few units in retail blister packs but the majority are in bulk packaging.

With the bulk packaging ones did you receive the modules individually or were they factory tested and packaged together as a kit of 2 modules?

I'm trying to figure out if this is an actual 'tested kit' or just 2 modules randomly thrown together.

    • similar question: if i buy a 32gb 'kit', does the kit originally come from crucial as 2x16gb or did you just pick 2 x 16gb from the box and ship it as a kit?

      • If you request a retail packaged unit in the notes at checkout we'll be sure to ship the retail kit that comes paired in a plastic blister pack from the factory (assuming we have any left at the time of order). We'll let you know before we ship if we don't and you can cancel if you so choose.

That being said, as mentioned in the comment below; the bulk packaged units are the same thing, from the exact same production line, using the exact same components, built to the exact same spec. For orders that receive 'bulk packaged' modules we'll try and select sequential serial numbers when pairing modules, but this is rather arbitrary as it's just the order in which the stickers were applied as they rolled through the line at the factory. The first and last module off the line on any given run should be essentially identical and any given pair, 'pairable'.

    • Bulk packaging for RAM (and SSDs & CPUs for that matter) come in anti-static plastic trays for the most part, with a large number of individual units all packaged together. If you've never seen one before a quick google image search for 'sodimm tray' should give you a good idea.

That being said, they are all identical and from the same production batch, and the exact same thing (aside from the packaging) as what you would be buying in their retail packaged equivalent. To the best of our knowledge modules are not specifically selected and paired with one another when put together in retail kits at the factory, it's merely different package.

On a side note, I've been notified that roughly half of our inventory is in retail kits. If you did for any particular reason prefer a retail kit, please leave a note requesting it during the checkout process and we'll make sure to allocate one if there are any left.

  • I would just like to say Thank You for processing Order # SHBFJHOSQ so promptly.
