It's Afterpay Day again on Thursday 18/8 and Ozbargain's favourite marketplace is offering 15% on selected items (generally any items that accepts Afterpay).

Max spend is $1000 for the max discount of $150.

Multiple items may be purchased in 2 transactions total (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction). Afterpay is only available for transactions not exceeding $2000. You can only use the redemption code 2 times during the Offer Period.

    Be very careful using afterpay.

    Last year paid for an item with afterpay but the eBay system never recognised the payment was made. Both eBay and afterpay didn't want to do anything about it. 6 months later I noticed eBay finally marked the item as paid, it was only than because of the sellers goodwill that he eventually refunded my money.

      eBay checkout has some weird bugs - I've bought a few items with giftcards, and on more than one occasion I've got back "Your payment didn't go through, please try again later" … but the giftcard still got debited to $0 ! It took eBay 3 months (!) to put the credit back onto the giftcard, despite me contacting them every couple of weeks to chase up.

        Same with me. I did not wait that long for a refund, though. Their gift card system is as dodgy as they get. Apart from balance, there's no way to view the transactions. You're left at the mercy of an overseas multinational company.

          Yeah and what's more, their own support staff also can't view the transactions ! So when you chat to them about your missing balance, they can't see or confirm it 🤷🏼‍♂️ The only thing they can do is escalate it to some internal team that you don't get to communicate with, and they also won't communicate with you even when they resolve your issue - the credit just magically appears and you only even find out when you try to checkout and see it sitting there on the checkout page.

    I added a $999 lens in my cart, and went through afterpay,
    BEEP = My credit only allow $659. I dont use afterpay to pay my ebay only if they have like this sales.

    Anyway is there a contact or way to increase my limit anyone would know?

    I crawl over their webpage, there not even a single button that i get to them, not even a phone number?
    I thought to operate such a big business there should be a contact number or a hotline?

      Get some discounted eBay gift cards and then pay the balance with afterpay. You only have to pay $1 with afterpay to get the discount, the rest can be giftcards

        I still don't get the $1 with afterpay.

        Let's say: Item is $1000, my limits is $650, i buy SB gift worth $600, can i stack the (AFPAYDAY + giftcard vouchures) and get 15% off $1000 ?

        or only 15% off the $400 left from SB card?

        Just a warning I couldn't get it to work with $1.60 balance remaining after AFPAYDAY. YMMV. I had to buy a higher specd substitute with $44 balance and that worked.

        When you click on afterpay the coupon applies for me.
