Sure but you're comparing non certified cables to certified. Happy to be proven wrong.
I've bought cable creation hdmi 2.1 cables and they're just fine. I'm running them maxed out at 4k 120Hz RGB 4.4.4. They're 8k.
How do you ‘test’ a hdmi cable to see if it’s doing what it says?
Probably by measuring the cable impedance of a known signal. But I could be wrong.
I'm guessing there's no "simple" way to become a commercial member?
It's usually a 'perk' from another company. For example I got access via Rest Super, I feel like maybe Commbank gives access as well? Don't quote me on that last one.

A decent article on HDMI cables. They tested some cables. Basically the shorter the cable the more likely it will work just fine unless its complete garbage. I would only get a certified cable if I was buying a very long HDMI cable.

Don't waste your money. Buy from cable creation on amazon. They have deals here on ozbargain once a week. Do a search for cable creation previous deals.
