It is an anniversary set.
Very few Castle sets in the last 20 years. And it's a decent size. Fun build.

Almost all exclusive sets are already in, or will make it to, retail stores. Lego abuse the ‘exclusive’ moniker to promote FOMO.
In this case, however, I wonder if the castle will remain exclusive to keep pricing high and protect the image of value, specifically for this anniversary set.

Since this set is based off a 1984 set, you're probably gonna have a bunch of other millennials with money wanting to buy it. It'll likely go in and out of stock over the next couple of months.
I have the Lego Titanic and I can't see that bad boy ever being available anywhere else except the Lego store online.
